In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them.

In days to come, the people of Egypt will become weak. The Lord who rules over all will raise his hand against them. Then they will tremble with fear.

In that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts shakes over them.

In that day the Egyptians will be as weak as women. They will cower in fear beneath the upraised fist of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

耶和華必使埃及的海乾涸，揮手用焦熱的風使幼發拉底河分成七條溪流，使人可以涉水而過。

巴比倫的勇士不再作戰，躲在堡壘裡，士氣消沉，像婦女一樣無力；巴比倫的房屋被火焚燒，城門被攻破。

看啊，你的軍隊就像柔弱的女人，你境內的關口向敵人敞開，你的門閂被火燒毀。

那時，亞述王必屯兵挪伯，向著錫安城的山嶺，向著耶路撒冷的山丘摩拳擦掌。

敵人要攻擊巴比倫人的戰車戰馬和他們的盟軍，使他們柔弱得像婦女；敵人要攻打他們的庫房，肆意搶奪他們的財寶。

耶和華必使人聽見祂威嚴的聲音，在憤怒、烈焰、暴雨、雷轟和冰雹中讓人看見祂降罰的臂膀。亞述人聽見耶和華的聲音必心驚膽戰，祂必用杖擊打他們。耶和華的刑杖每責打他們一下，祂的子民必擊鼓彈琴。祂必在戰場上揮手擊打他們。

看啊，祂要揮手攻擊他們，使他們被自己的奴隸擄掠。那時你們便知道是萬軍之耶和華差遣了我。

他們一人叱喝，必嚇得你們千人逃跑；他們五人叱喝，你們必全部逃跑，以致餘剩的人少得像山頂上的旗杆、高崗上的旗幟。」

落在永活上帝的手中是可怕的！

他們被恐懼籠罩，痛苦如分娩的婦人。

耶和華說：「我聽見驚恐不安的喊叫聲。你們去問問，男人能分娩嗎？為什麼我看見男人們都雙手捂著肚子，好像分娩的婦人臉色鐵青呢？唉！無比可怕的日子快來了，那將是雅各子孫的苦難之日，但他們必得拯救。」
