你必發表這首言論歌來諷刺巴比倫王說：『啊，壓迫人的怎麼息滅了！狂暴怎麼止息了！

你們必踹着惡人，因為在我行動的日子、萬軍之永恆主說、他們必在你們腳掌之下成了爐灰。

你竟忘了那造了你、的永恆主，那展開諸天，奠定了大地的，而那窘迫人者準備要行毁滅時、你就終日懼怕他的烈怒呀！其實那窘迫人者的烈怒在哪裏呢？

因為他們所重負的軛和肩背上的橫木、都已破壞；那趕牲口者的棍子也都折斷，像在米甸的日子一樣。

他們必倒斃在刀刃之下，必被擄到萬國去；耶路撒冷必被外國人踐踏，直到外國人的時期滿限。

『住底本的人哪，從你輝煌的位上下來，坐在污穢上吧！因為蹂躪摩押的上來攻擊你，毁壞了你的堡壘了。

『困苦貧窮的雇工、無論是你的族弟兄、或是寄居在你的地你的城內的、你都不可欺壓他。

因為寧林水荒蕪淒涼；青草枯乾，嫩草滅沒，青綠之物、一無所有。

『一個奴僕脫了主人、投奔到你那裏，你不可把他送交他主人。他必須在你中間和你同住，在他所看為好的城市、他所選擇的一個地方居住；你不可欺負他。

有禍啊！你這毁滅人者、而自己倒不被毁滅的！你這行詭詐者、而人倒不以詭詐待你的！你剛停止了毁滅人，你自己就要被毁滅了；你剛行完了詭詐，人就以詭詐待你了。

因為永恆主必按手在這山上；但摩押人在他們的地方必被踐踏，像乾草堆被踐踏於糞坑中一樣。

大衛家啊，永恆主這麼說：『「你們要朝朝不斷地秉公裁判，援救被搶奪的脫離欺壓人者的手，免得我的烈怒因你們行為之敗壞而發出，正如同火、一直焚燒，無人能撲滅。」』

不過殿堂以外的院子、卻不要量，因為已經給了外國人了；他們必踐踏聖城四十二個月。

行毁滅者必來擊打各城，沒有一座城能避免的；山谷必至於滅沒，平原必被毁壞；照永恆主所說的。

他們一概都像勇士在戰陣上將仇敵踐踏在街上的泥土中；他們必爭戰，因為永恆主與他們同在；騎馬的兵也必失敗蒙羞。

賜平安和平的上帝就會快快將撒但踐踏在你們腳下了。願我們主耶穌的恩與你們同在！

我必在我家四圍紮營來抵擋敵軍，不使人來回經過；不使再有壓迫者從他們身上經過；因為如今我親眼看到了。
