On the day the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you,

以色列族蒙耶和華援手、免於患難、不復觳觫、脫於賤役、遂作歌以刺巴比倫王、歌曰、昔虐遇人、強取人金者、今已絕矣。

迨主援爾脫於患難、不復煩惱、不復遭督催而作苦工、因而獲安息、

The Lord will put an end to Israel’s suffering and trouble. They will no longer be forced to do hard labor. At that time,

When the Lord has given you rest from your pain and turmoil and the hard service with which you were made to serve,

In that wonderful day when the Lord gives his people rest from sorrow and fear, from slavery and chains,

When the LORD gives you rest from your pain, torment, and the hard labor you were forced to do,

And it will be on the day when the Lord gives you rest from your hardship, your turmoil, and from the harsh service in which you have been enslaved,

It shall come to pass in the day the Lord gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve,

And it shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy trouble, and from the hard service wherein thou wast made to serve,

When the Lord gives you rest from your pain, torment, and the hard labor you were forced to do,

And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

When the LORD gives you relief from your suffering and anxiety, and from the hard labor which you were made to perform,

It will happen in the day that Yahweh will give you rest from your sorrow, from your trouble, and from the hard service in which you were made to serve,

“‘ So do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel,’ declares the Lord.‘ I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.

My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

“ But now, for a brief moment, the Lord our God has been gracious in leaving us a remnant and giving us a firm place in his sanctuary, and so our God gives light to our eyes and a little relief in our bondage.Though we are slaves, our God has not forsaken us in our bondage. He has shown us kindness in the sight of the kings of Persia: He has granted us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, and he has given us a wall of protection in Judah and Jerusalem.

In that day you will say:“ I will praise you, Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me.

Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.In the morning you will say,“ If only it were evening!” and in the evening,“ If only it were morning!”— because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.”

“ Rejoice over her, you heavens! Rejoice, you people of God! Rejoice, apostles and prophets! For God has judged her with the judgment she imposed on you.”

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting:“ Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”And again they shouted:“ Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.”

In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.

“‘ No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

“ Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel. I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, for I am with you,” declares the Lord.“ Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.”

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.”
