“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord Almighty.“ I will wipe out Babylon’s name and survivors, her offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them,” announces the Lord who rules over all.“ I will destroy Babylon. It will not be remembered anymore. No one will be left alive there. I will destroy its people and their children after them,” announces the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord of hosts,“ and will cut off from Babylon name and remnant, descendants and posterity,” declares the Lord.

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:“ I, myself, have risen against Babylon! I will destroy its children and its children’s children,” says the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ and I will cut off from Babylon her reputation, remnant, offspring, and posterity”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord of armies,“ and eliminate from Babylon name and survivors, offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord.

“ For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts,“ And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, And offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.

And I will rise up against them, saith Jehovah of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son’s son, saith Jehovah.

“ I will rise up against them”— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts—“ and I will cut off from Babylon her reputation, remnant, offspring, and posterity”— this is the Lord’s declaration.

For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

故我降禍於耶羅波安之家、凡屬耶羅波安之男、或主、或作已長大之人或僕、或作未長大之人悉絕之於以色列人中、必盡除耶羅波安之家、如人之盡除糞穢然、

善人之名、必為人所讚、惡人之名、必遺臭腐爛、

爾曹當自地極來攻迦勒底邦、開其倉廩、積之如禾堆、殺滅務盡、毋遺一人、殺其諸牛、俱下至屠宰之地、彼遭報之日、受罰之時已至、禍哉禍哉、

不知喪子為嫠、此二難必在一日俄頃間臨爾、爾雖多行邪術、廣施符咒、此二難亦勃然勃然或作全然臨爾、爾恃己惡曰、無人見我、爾之智慧知識、誘惑爾、心自妄思、惟獨有我、再無他國、故禍患臨爾、不知何以除之、不知何以除之或作不知其由患難臨爾、爾不能禳之、災忽臨爾、不能逆料、爾自幼勤於符咒、多行巫術、今試立於此、今試立於此或作今任爾仍如此行或可得益、或可勝敵、勝敵或作恐喝敵人爾設多謀、徒自困乏、惟彼觀天象者、占察星辰者、在月朔宣告爾所將遇者、今可興起以拯救爾、豈知彼若草芥、被火焚燬、不能自救免遭火焰、更無餘炭、可以溫體、亦無微火、可坐其前、

張弓者張弓以射張弓者、射衣甲倨遨之人、勿惜其壯士、盡滅其軍旅、被殺者隕於迦勒底地、被刺者仆於巴比倫衢、

主攜其怒具、來自遠方、來自天涯、以滅全地、

敵攻巴比倫、壯士見執、其弓已折、蓋主乃施報之天主、無不報應、大主宰或作皇皇大主名為萬有之主曰、我將使其侯伯、哲士、方伯、官長、壯士、俱昏醉長眠、永不復醒、

亦當禱曰、主歟、主曾言必滅斯地、使無居處之人民牲畜、必為荒蕪直至永遠、讀書既竟、繫石於書、投之伯拉河中、曰、巴比倫必因主所降之災、困乏而沈淪、永不復起、有如此書之沈於水然、耶利米之言、至此已竟、

有人乘車而至、有乘馬者雙雙而來、大聲呼曰、巴比倫傾覆矣、傾覆矣、其諸神之偶像、擊碎而擲之於地、

其根槁於下、其枝枯於上、其誌必滅於地、其名不留於世、必自光明見逐於黑暗、必被驅出乎世界、在其民中、無子無孫、在其居處、一無所遺、

救爾之主、即以色列之聖主如是云、緣爾之故、我遣人至巴比倫、毀諸門楗、使迦勒底人、駕宴樂之舟以逃遁、
