萬有之主耶和華曰、我將勃然而興、滅巴比倫遺民、塗抹其名、延及王之宗室、淪胥以亡、

萬有之主曰、我必興起、懲罰巴比倫、塗抹其名、滅其遺民、絕其子孫苗裔、此乃主所言、

“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord Almighty.“ I will wipe out Babylon’s name and survivors, her offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them,” announces the Lord who rules over all.“ I will destroy Babylon. It will not be remembered anymore. No one will be left alive there. I will destroy its people and their children after them,” announces the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord of hosts,“ and will cut off from Babylon name and remnant, descendants and posterity,” declares the Lord.

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:“ I, myself, have risen against Babylon! I will destroy its children and its children’s children,” says the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ and I will cut off from Babylon her reputation, remnant, offspring, and posterity”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord of armies,“ and eliminate from Babylon name and survivors, offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord.

“ For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts,“ And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, And offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.

“ I will rise up against them”— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts—“ and I will cut off from Babylon her reputation, remnant, offspring, and posterity”— this is the Lord’s declaration.

For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

“ I will rise up against them,” says the LORD who commands armies.“ I will blot out all remembrance of Babylon and destroy all her people, including the offspring she produces,” says the LORD.

“ I will rise up against them,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son’s son,” says Yahweh.

Call together the archers against Babylon, all them that bend the bow; encamp against her round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her; for she hath been proud against Jehovah, against the Holy One of Israel.Therefore shall her young men fall in her streets, and all her men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, saith Jehovah.Behold, I am against thee, O thou proud one, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts; for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.And the proud one shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up; and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all that are round about him.Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together; and all that took them captive hold them fast; they refuse to let them go.Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith Jehovah, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every man- child, him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweepeth away dung, till it be all gone.

The memory of the righteous is blessed; But the name of the wicked shall rot.

Come against her from the utmost border; open her store- houses; cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly; let nothing of her be left.Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.

but these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come upon thee, in the multitude of thy sorceries, and the great abundance of thine enchantments.For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness; thou hast said, None seeth me; thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee, and thou hast said in thy heart, I am, and there is none else besides me.Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know the dawning thereof: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it away: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou knowest not.Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast labored from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels: let now the astrologers, the star- gazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from the things that shall come upon thee.Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: it shall not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before.

Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his coat of mail: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.And they shall fall down slain in the land of the Chaldeans, and thrust through in her streets.

They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even Jehovah, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

for the destroyer is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, their bows are broken in pieces; for Jehovah is a God of recompenses, he will surely requite.And I will make drunk her princes and her wise men, her governors and her deputies, and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.

and say, O Jehovah, thou hast spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that none shall dwell therein, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates:and thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise again because of the evil that I will bring upon her; and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

and, behold, here cometh a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground.

His roots shall be dried up beneath, And above shall his branch be cut off.His remembrance shall perish from the earth, And he shall have no name in the street.He shall be driven from light into darkness, And chased out of the world.He shall have neither son nor son’s son among his people, Nor any remaining where he sojourned.

Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.
