惟爾見擲、不入於墓、若被棄之枝、以被刺而死、下於石坑者為衣、若被踐之屍、

惟爾既絕、不能入土、如最惡之根株、如亡於刃者、在巖穴之間、尸相枕藉、為人蹂躪、

惟爾不得入墓、拋擲於地、如被棄之枝、圍於被殺者與被刺於刃者、降於石坑、與被踐之屍無異、

But you are cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch; you are covered with the slain, with those pierced by the sword, those who descend to the stones of the pit. Like a corpse trampled underfoot,

But you have been thrown out of your tomb. You are like a branch that is cut off and thrown away. You are covered with the bodies of those who have been killed by swords. You have been tossed into a stony pit along with them. You are like a dead body that people have walked on.

but you are cast out, away from your grave, like a loathed branch, clothed with the slain, those pierced by the sword, who go down to the stones of the pit, like a dead body trampled under foot.

but you will be thrown out of your grave like a worthless branch. Like a corpse trampled underfoot, you will be dumped into a mass grave with those killed in battle. You will descend to the pit.

But you are thrown out without a grave, like a worthless branch, covered by those slain with the sword and dumped into a rocky pit like a trampled corpse.

But you have been hurled out of your tomb Like a rejected branch, Clothed with those killed who have been pierced with a sword, Who go down to the stones of the pit Like a trampled corpse.

But you are cast out of your grave Like an abominable branch, Like the garment of those who are slain, Thrust through with a sword, Who go down to the stones of the pit, Like a corpse trodden underfoot.

But thou art cast forth away from thy sepulchre like an abominable branch, clothed with the slain, that are thrust through with the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a dead body trodden under foot.

But you are thrown out without a grave, like a worthless branch, covered by those slain with the sword and dumped into a rocky pit like a trampled corpse.

But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch,[ and as] the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

But you are cast away from your tomb like an abominable branch, clothed with the slain, who are thrust through with the sword, who go down to the stones of the pit; like a dead body trodden under foot.

到了城中，以實瑪利和部下便屠殺他們，棄屍於蓄水池中。

以實瑪利拋屍的地方是個很大的蓄水池，是從前亞撒王為抵禦以色列王巴沙而修建的。尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利用被殺者的屍體填滿了蓄水池。

耶和華說：「那時，猶大王、首領、祭司、先知及耶路撒冷居民的骸骨都要從墳墓中被挖出來，拋散在他們昔日戀慕、供奉、追隨、求問、祭拜的日月星辰之下，無人收殮和埋葬，他們好像地上的糞便。

耶戶對將領畢甲說：「你去把他丟在耶斯列人拿伯的田裡。還記得嗎？你我一起駕車跟隨他父親亞哈的時候，耶和華曾預言亞哈的事說，

他們的墳墓在陰間的最深處，她的大軍躺臥在她墳墓的周圍。他們生前曾使人恐懼，如今卻喪身刀下。

「你在這裡做什麼？你憑什麼在這裡為自己挖墳墓，在高處為自己挖墳墓，在磐石上為自己鑿安息之所？看啊，你這有權有勢的人，耶和華必緊緊抓住你，把你猛力拋開。祂必把你揉作一團，像球一樣扔到寬闊之地。在那裡，你必死亡，你華美的戰車也必遭毀滅，你是你主人家的羞辱。」

進入王宮，大吃大喝，然後吩咐部下說：「把那受咒詛的婦人埋了，她畢竟是王的女兒。」他們出去埋葬她，卻只找到她的頭骨、手掌和腳，便回去稟告耶戶。耶戶說：「這正應驗耶和華藉祂僕人提斯比人以利亞說的話，『狗必在耶斯列的田間吃耶洗別的肉，

你必像死驢一樣被拖到耶路撒冷的城門外，曝屍荒野。」

凡屬亞哈的人，死在城中的必被狗吃，死在郊野的必被飛鳥吃。』」

他們無論尊卑都要死在這裡，無人埋葬，無人哀悼，也無人為他們的死而割傷身體、剃光頭髮。

你要對他說，『耶和華說，你殺了人，還要奪他的產業嗎？』然後告訴他，耶和華說，『狗在哪裡舔拿伯的血，也必在哪裡舔你的血。』」
