使世界如同荒野，使城邑倾覆，不释放被掳的人归家，是这个人吗？’

我所選之禁食、豈非釋凶惡之索、解人之負、縱受屈者自逸、而折諸軛乎、

爾之聖邑、盡成荒野、錫安荒蕪、耶路撒冷邱墟、

以色列族虜其同宗二十萬人、婦孺與焉、亦掠貨財甚多、攜至撒瑪利亞、在彼有耶和華之先知名俄德、出迎返撒瑪利亞之軍、告之曰、爾列祖之上帝耶和華怒猶大、故付之於爾手、爾乃怒冲霄漢、大行殺戮、今爾有意抑制猶大與耶路撒冷人、使為僕婢、爾曹豈非亦獲罪於爾上帝耶和華乎、今聽我言、遣歸爾所虜之同宗、蓋耶和華之烈怒及於爾矣、以法蓮之族長數人、約哈難子亞薩利雅、米實利末子比利家、沙龍子耶希西家、哈得萊子亞瑪撒、咸起、抵禦自陳而返者、曰、勿攜所虜之人入此、蓋爾所謀、乃使我獲罪於耶和華、益我罪過、我罪維大、烈怒及於以色列矣、於是執兵之士、以所虜之人與貨財、留於牧伯及會眾前、以上錄名之人遂起、攜被虜之眾、自所掠物中取衣、衣其裸者、又予之屨、供以飲食而膏之、弱者乘以驢、導往椶樹城耶利哥、至其昆弟、而返撒瑪利亞、○

我必舉手攻之、使其所居之地荒蕪寂寞、自曠野至於第伯拉他、則知我乃耶和華、

耶和華將伸手向北、而滅亞述、使尼尼微荒蕪、旱乾如曠野、羣畜各類之獸、將臥其中、鵜鶘鸕鷀、棲於柱頂、鳴於窗牖、門閾闃寂、香柏之製、俱已剝落、
