爾心自謂、我將升天、設位於上帝諸星之上、坐於北極聚會之山、

爾自謂必昇天、位崇隆、越乎至高之星辰、坐峻峭之山、入大會之中、躋北極之所、

爾自謂、我必升天、設位在天主眾星之上、坐於聚會之山、在北之極處、

It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.

Say to Tyre, situated at the gateway to the sea, merchant of peoples on many coasts,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ You say, Tyre,“ I am perfect in beauty.”

You said,‘ I am forever— the eternal queen!’ But you did not consider these things or reflect on what might happen.“ Now then, listen, you lover of pleasure, lounging in your security and saying to yourself,‘ I am, and there is none besides me. I will never be a widow or suffer the loss of children.’Both of these will overtake you in a moment, on a single day: loss of children and widowhood. They will come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and all your potent spells.You have trusted in your wickedness and have said,‘ No one sees me.’ Your wisdom and knowledge mislead you when you say to yourself,‘ I am, and there is none besides me.’

Give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts,‘ I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.’Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

This is the city of revelry that lived in safety. She said to herself,“ I am the one! And there is none besides me.” What a ruin she has become, a lair for wild beasts! All who pass by her scoff and shake their fists.

Speak to him and say:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, you great monster lying among your streams. You say,“ The Nile belongs to me; I made it for myself.”

Will you then say,“ I am a god,” in the presence of those who kill you? You will be but a mortal, not a god, in the hands of those who slay you.
