“明亮的晨星，黎明之子啊，你怎么会从天坠落呢？你这击败列国的，怎么会被砍倒在地呢？

明亮之星，早晨之子啊，你何竟從天墜落？你這攻敗列國的何竟被砍倒在地上？

「明亮的晨星，黎明之子啊，你怎麼會從天墜落呢？你這擊敗列國的，怎麼會被砍倒在地呢？

啟明之晨星歟、何自天而隕乎、屈抑列邦者歟、何見斫於地乎、

爾素為明星、今乃隕自天、昔則敗列國、今乃見滅絕、

爾明光之晨星歟、何竟隕自天哉、勝列國者歟、何竟偃仆塵埃哉、

How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

“ King of Babylon, you thought you were the bright morning star. But now you have fallen from heaven! You once brought down nations. But now you have been thrown down to the earth!

“ How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low!

“ How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.

Shining morning star, how you have fallen from the heavens! You destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground.

How you have fallen from heaven, You star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who defeated the nations!

How art thou fallen from heaven, O day- star, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations!

Shining morning star, how you have fallen from the heavens! You destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground.

Look how you have fallen from the sky, O shining one, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, O conqueror of the nations!

How you have fallen from heaven, shining one, son of the dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low!

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone[ was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.Thou[ art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee[ so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.Thou[ wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling[ fig] from the fig tree.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David,[ and] the bright and morning star.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

And I will give him the morning star.

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked,[ and] the sceptre of the rulers.He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted,[ and] none hindereth.

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!

Thou[ art] my battle axe[ and] weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast[ them] down to hell, and delivered[ them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
