啟明之晨星歟、何自天而隕乎、屈抑列邦者歟、何見斫於地乎、

爾素為明星、今乃隕自天、昔則敗列國、今乃見滅絕、

How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

碎全地之大鎚、何竟被折被碎、巴比倫在列邦中、何竟荒涼、

爾如我之大鎚、如戰之器械、用爾碎諸國、毀列邦、用爾碎馬與乘馬者、用爾碎車與乘車者、用爾碎男女老幼、用爾碎壯士處女、用爾碎牧人與群畜、用爾碎農夫與耕牛、用爾碎侯伯與冢宰、主曰、巴比倫人及迦勒底居民、在郇邑所行之諸惡、我必報復、使爾目睹、或作主曰巴比倫人及迦勒底居民於爾目前在郇所行諸惡我必報之

昔天使犯罪、天主亦未惜之、投於地獄、縛於幽暗中、以待審判、
