耶稣对他们说：“我看见撒旦像闪电一样从天上坠落。

天上的万象都要衰亡，天如同书卷要被卷起来；其中的万象都要凋零，如葡萄树的叶子凋零，又如无花果树的叶子凋零。

并且我们有先知更确切的话语。你们如果留心这些话语，把它当做照耀在暗处的灯，一直到天光破晓、晨星在你们心中升起，你们就做得很好了。

“我耶稣，派遣了我的使者，为各教会向你们见证了这些事。我就是大卫的根，也是他的后裔，那明亮的晨星。”

接着，天上发生了战争：米迦勒和他的天使们与龙交战，龙和它的使者们也应战，可是龙不能得胜，天上再也没有它们的地方了。于是那巨龙被摔了下来。它就是那古蛇，被称为魔鬼和撒旦，那迷惑普天下的。它被摔在地上，它的使者们也与它一起被摔了下来。随后，我听见天上有一个大声音说：“我们神的救恩、大能、国度，和他基督的权柄，现在都来到了！因为我们弟兄的控告者，就是那日夜在我们神面前控告他们的，已经被摔下去了。

第三位天使吹响号角，就有一颗像火把一样燃烧着的大星，从天上坠落，落在江河的三分之一和众水的泉源上。

我还要把晨星赐给他。

天上的星辰和众星座都不发光；太阳出来时就是黑的，月亮也不放光。

你必对巴比伦王唱这首讽刺歌：“压迫人的怎么止息了呢？凶暴怎么止息了呢？耶和华打断了恶人的杖和管辖者的权杖——它们曾在盛怒中以不停的猛击来击打万民；在怒气中以无情的逼迫来辖制列国。

第五位天使吹响号角，我就看见从天上坠落到地上的一颗星。它被赐予了无底坑口的钥匙。

要知道：既然神没有顾惜那些犯罪的天使，把他们扔进地狱，囚禁在幽暗的坑里，拘留到审判的时候；
