爾素為明星、今乃隕自天、昔則敗列國、今乃見滅絕、

爾明光之晨星歟、何竟隕自天哉、勝列國者歟、何竟偃仆塵埃哉、

How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

“ King of Babylon, you thought you were the bright morning star. But now you have fallen from heaven! You once brought down nations. But now you have been thrown down to the earth!

“ How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low!

“ How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.

Shining morning star, how you have fallen from the heavens! You destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground.

你曾在伊甸、神的園中，有各樣的寶石作你的衣服，就是紅寶石、黃玉、金鋼石、水蒼玉、紅瑪瑙、碧玉、藍寶石、綠寶石和翡翠；寶石座是用金製造的，這些都是在你被造的日子就預備好了的。你是護衛寶座的、受膏的基路伯；我安置你在神的聖山上，你在閃耀如火的寶石中間行走。從你被造的日子起，你的行為都無可指摘，直到在你中間有了罪孽為止。因你的貿易昌盛，你中間就充滿了強暴的事，你也犯了罪，所以我把你當作污穢之物，從神的山把你拋棄。護衛寶座的基路伯啊！我要把你從閃耀如火的寶石中除掉。你因自己的美麗心裡高傲，又因你的光彩敗壞了你的智慧。所以我把你拋在地上；放在列王面前，好讓他們觀看。

耶穌說：“我看見撒但，像閃電一樣從天墜落。

天上的萬象都必消殘；天也像書卷一般被捲起，所有星宿也必衰殘，像葡萄樹的葉子衰殘一樣，又像無花果樹的葉子凋落一樣。

我們還有先知的話，是更確實的。你們要特別注意它，好像注意照在暗處的明燈，直到天將破曉，晨星在你們心裡出現的時候。

“差遣了我的使者、為眾教會向你們證明這些事的，就是我耶穌。我是大衛的根，又是他的後裔，我是明亮的晨星。”

天上發生了戰爭：米迦勒和他的天使與龍作戰。龍和牠的天使也起來應戰，龍卻抵擋不住，天上再也沒有牠們的地方了。於是那大龍被摔了下來。牠就是那古蛇，名叫魔鬼，又叫撒但，是迷惑普天下的人的。牠被摔在地上，牠的天使也跟牠一同被摔了下來。我又聽見天上有大聲音說：“我們神的救恩、能力、國度和他所立的基督的權柄，現在都已經來到了！因為那晝夜在我們神面前控告我們弟兄的控告者，已經被摔下來了！

第三位天使吹號，就有一顆燃燒著的大星，好像火把一樣，從天上落下來，落在江河的三分之一上，和眾水的泉源上。

我還要把晨星賜給他。

天上的星星和眾星座不再發光；太陽剛出來就變為黑暗，月亮也不再發光。

你必唱出這首詩歌來諷刺巴比倫王，說：“欺壓人的，怎麼止息了呢！強暴怎麼止住了呢！耶和華折斷了惡人的杖和統治者的棒，就是那在忿怒中不住擊打眾民、在怒氣中管轄列國、毫無抑制地施行迫害的。

第五位天使吹號，我就看見一顆星從天上落到地上，有無底坑的鑰匙賜給它。

擊打全地的大鎚，怎麼被砍斷毀掉！巴比倫在列國中，怎麼成了令人驚駭的對象呢！

耶和華說：“你是我的鐵鎚，作我的兵器；我用你們打碎列國，用你毀滅萬邦。我用你打碎戰馬和騎馬的，用你打碎戰車和坐戰車的。我用你打碎男人和婦女，用你打碎老年人和少年人，用你打碎少男和少女。我用你打碎牧人和他的羊群，用你打碎農夫和他的耕牛，用你打碎省長和總監。“但我必在你們眼前報復巴比倫和迦勒底所有的居民在錫安所作的一切惡事。”這是耶和華的宣告。

神沒有姑息犯罪的天使，反而把他們丟入地獄，囚禁在幽暗的坑裡，等候審判。
