With one voice they all cry out,‘ Now you are as weak as we are!

他們都要發言對你說：你也變為軟弱像我們一樣嗎？你也成了我們的樣子嗎？

他們都要發言，對你說：『你也變為軟弱，像我們一樣嗎？你也成了我們的樣子嗎？』

他們都要發言，對你說：『你也變為軟弱，像我們一樣嗎？你也成了我們的樣子嗎？』

對你說，『你如今也跟我們一樣軟弱無能。』

他們都必答話，對你說：‘你也變為衰弱，像我們一樣嗎？你也與我們相似嗎？’

他們都必應時對你說：「你也變為衰弱、像我們一樣啊！你也跟我們相似啊！」

他們都必回應你，說：『你竟然像我們一樣變得軟弱無能，與我們相似了！』

僉謂爾曰、爾亦荏弱似我乎、爾與吾儕相若乎、

曰、爾豈如我之荏弱哉、

悉發言向爾曰、爾亦弱同我儕乎、爾與我儕相若乎、

They will all respond, they will say to you,“ You also have become weak, as we are; you have become like us.”

All of them call out to you. They say,‘ You have become weak, just as we are. You have become like us.’

All of them will answer and say to you:‘ You too have become as weak as we! You have become like us!’

They all respond to you, saying,“ You too have become as weak as we are; you have become like us!

They will all respond and say to you,‘ Even you have become weak as we, You have become like us.

They all shall speak and say to you:‘ Have you also become as weak as we? Have you become like us?

All they shall answer and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

They all respond to you, saying:“ You too have become as weak as we are; you have become like us!

All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

All of them respond to you, saying:‘ You too have become weak like us! You have become just like us!

They all will answer and ask you,“ Have you also become as weak as we are? Have you become like us?”

I say,‘ You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.But you will die like mere mortals and fall like every other ruler.’”

For the wise and the foolish both die. The wise will not be remembered any longer than the fool. In the days to come, both will be forgotten.

Down in the grave mighty leaders will mockingly welcome Egypt and its allies, saying,‘ They have come down; they lie among the outcasts, hordes slaughtered by the sword.’

They trust in their wealth and boast of great riches.Yet they cannot redeem themselves from death by paying a ransom to God.Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enoughto live forever and never see the grave.Those who are wise must finally die, just like the foolish and senseless, leaving all their wealth behind.The grave is their eternal home, where they will stay forever. They may name their estates after themselves,but their fame will not last. They will die, just like animals.This is the fate of fools, though they are remembered as being wise. InterludeLike sheep, they are led to the grave, where death will be their shepherd. In the morning the godly will rule over them. Their bodies will rot in the grave, far from their grand estates.

People who boast of their wealth don’t understand; they will die, just like animals.

At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores.As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores.“ Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the heavenly banquet. The rich man also died and was buried,and he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.
