See, the day of the Lord is coming— a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger— to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.

The day of the Lord is coming. It will be a terrible day. The Lord’ s burning anger will blaze out. He will make the land dry and empty. He’ll destroy the sinners in it.

願罪人滅於地上、願惡人歸於烏有、我心當頌美耶和華、爾曹其讚揚耶和華兮、

耶和華曰、有一族自北方而來、有大國自地極而興、執弓與戟、彼乃殘忍、不加矜恤、聲若海濤漰渤、錫安女歟、彼皆乘馬列陳、如戰士以攻爾、

爾恃己惡、自言無見我者、爾之智識誘爾、自謂有我、我外無他、是故禍患必臨爾、不知所由、災難必及爾、無以禳之、殄滅突來、難以逆料、爾今起立、施爾符呪、及諸邪術、即爾自幼所勤習者、試觀其效、或能獲益、或能懾敵、爾因多謀、而致疲憊、維彼觀天象、察星辰、每月預告將來之事者、今其起立、庶可救爾、免罹後患、彼眾必如草芥、被火焚燬、不能自救脫於烈焰、此火非炭足以暖體、可坐其前、爾所勤勞之事、於爾將如是、自幼與爾貿易者、各歸其所、無人援爾、

爾其號泣、蓋耶和華之日伊邇、殄滅自全能者而來、

耶和華曰、必如所多瑪蛾摩拉、及其鄰邑之傾覆、無人居處、世人不寓其中、有一族自北方而來、有大國及諸王被激、自地極而起、執弓與戟、殘忍不慈、聲若海濤之漰渤、巴比倫女歟、彼乘馬而來、列陳以攻爾、

惟惡者被絕、譎者見拔於其中、

耶和華為忌邪報復之上帝、耶和華報復而充以怒、耶和華報復於其敵、為其仇蓄怒、

厥怒奮發、孰能屹立、孰能當其忿怒之烈、其怒傾洩如火、磐巖為之崩裂、

又爾所見之獸、與其十角、將惡此妓、使之荒墟裸體、食其肉、且盡焚之、蓋上帝曾使其心、同懷一意、以行己旨、且以其國予獸、待上帝之言皆應、

我又見一使立於日中、大聲而呼、謂凡飛於天空之鳥曰、來、集赴上帝之盛筵、俾得食君王將帥勇士、及馬與乘之者、或自主為奴、與卑者尊者之肉、○我又見獸及世上諸王、並其軍咸集、欲與乘馬者及其軍戰、獸被執、偽先知亦然、即昔行異蹟於獸前、以惑受獸印誌而拜其像者、二者生投於火湖、以硫焚之、餘皆見殺於乘馬者口出之劍、眾鳥皆飽其肉焉、

故一日間、諸災並臻、即死亡悲哀饑荒、盡焚以火、蓋鞫之之主上帝、乃有能者也、

萬軍之耶和華曰、其日將屆、火燃若爐、驕侈與作惡者、將如草芥、日至盡燬、致根與枝、靡有孑遺、
