那时，耶和华就使硫磺与火从天而降，从耶和华那里降在所多玛和格摩拉，

开口说：“这大巴比伦，难道不是我以自己的权能力量建为国都，为要显出我威严的尊荣吗？”

“明亮的晨星，黎明之子啊，你怎么会从天坠落呢？你这击败列国的，怎么会被砍倒在地呢？你心里曾说：‘我要升到天上，我要高举我的宝座在神的众星之上，我要坐在北方极处的聚会山上，我要升到云端之上，我要使自己与至高者相比。’然而你必被丢下阴间，下到阴坑的极处！

王啊，你是王中之王！天上的神把国度、权能、力量和尊荣都赐给了你，也把世人、田野的走兽、天空的飞鸟，无论住在哪里，都交在你的手中，让你统辖这一切；你就是那金的头。

你必对巴比伦王唱这首讽刺歌：“压迫人的怎么止息了呢？凶暴怎么止息了呢？耶和华打断了恶人的杖和管辖者的权杖——它们曾在盛怒中以不停的猛击来击打万民；在怒气中以无情的逼迫来辖制列国。
