In that day you will say:“ I will praise you, Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me.

In days to come, the people of Israel will sing,“ Lord, we will praise you. You were angry with us. But now your anger has turned away from us. And you have brought us comfort.

You will say in that day:“ I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.

In that day you will sing:“ I will praise you, O Lord! You were angry with me, but not anymore. Now you comfort me.

On that day you will say:“ I will give thanks to you, LORD, although you were angry with me. Your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me.

Then you will say on that day,“ I will give thanks to You, Lord; For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, And You comfort me.

In that day you will say,“ I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.

Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago. (niv)

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (niv)

In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer. (niv)

The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name. (niv)

On the day the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you, (niv)

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. (niv)

In that day, the Lord will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.In that day—“ Sing about a fruitful vineyard:I, the Lord, watch over it; I water it continually. I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it. (niv)

The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing. (niv)

Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. (niv)

In that day they will say,“ Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” (niv)

“ Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. (niv)

In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean. and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. (niv)

The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled and human pride brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day. (niv)

“ I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots;his young shoots will grow. His splendor will be like an olive tree, his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.People will dwell again in his shade; they will flourish like the grain, they will blossom like the vine— Israel’s fame will be like the wine of Lebanon.Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a flourishing juniper; your fruitfulness comes from me.”Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them. (niv)

Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them,for God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah. Then people will settle there and possess it;the children of his servants will inherit it, and those who love his name will dwell there. (niv)

As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.” (niv)

Long may he live! May gold from Sheba be given him. May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.May grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. May the crops flourish like Lebanon and thrive like the grass of the field.May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,to carry out the sentence written against them— this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord. (niv)

For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? (niv)

I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us—so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you.May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. (niv)

In that day the Lord will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, Israel, will be gathered up one by one.And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem. (niv)

When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come on you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord your God disperses you among the nations,and when you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today,then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you. (niv)

You, Lord, showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins.You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger. (niv)

“ I have surely heard Ephraim’s moaning:‘ You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the Lord my God.After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord. (niv)

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. (niv)

On that day holy to the Lord will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the Lord’s house will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar. (niv)

There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from Egypt. (niv)

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts. (niv)

Very soon my anger against you will end and my wrath will be directed to their destruction.” (niv)

and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb:“ Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” (niv)

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting:“ Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”And again they shouted:“ Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.”The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:“ Amen, Hallelujah!”Then a voice came from the throne, saying:“ Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both great and small!”Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:“ Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. (niv)

Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. (niv)
