The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on that Branch. The Spirit will help him to be wise and understanding. The Spirit will help him make wise plans and carry them out. The Spirit will help him know the Lord and have respect for him.

And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

主耶和華的靈在我身上；因為耶和華用膏膏我，叫我傳好信息給謙卑的人，差遣我醫好傷心的人，報告被擄的得釋放，被囚的出監牢；

只等真理的聖靈來了，他要引導你們明白一切的真理；因為他不是憑自己說的，乃是把他所聽見的都說出來，並要把將來的事告訴你們。

看哪，我的僕人－我所扶持所揀選、心裏所喜悅的！我已將我的靈賜給他；他必將公理傳給外邦。

也把你們因聖靈所存的愛心告訴了我們。因此，我們自從聽見的日子，也就為你們不住地禱告祈求，願你們在一切屬靈的智慧悟性上，滿心知道神的旨意；

耶穌受了洗，隨即從水裏上來。天忽然為他開了，他就看見神的靈彷彿鴿子降下，落在他身上。

求我們主耶穌基督的神，榮耀的父，將那賜人智慧和啟示的靈賞給你們，使你們真知道他，並且照明你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道他的恩召有何等指望，他在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀；

因為神賜給我們，不是膽怯的心，乃是剛強、仁愛、謹守的心。

約翰又作見證說：「我曾看見聖靈，彷彿鴿子從天降下，住在他的身上。我先前不認識他，只是那差我來用水施洗的、對我說：『你看見聖靈降下來，住在誰的身上，誰就是用聖靈施洗的。』

惟獨從上頭來的智慧，先是清潔，後是和平，溫良柔順，滿有憐憫，多結善果，沒有偏見，沒有假冒。並且使人和平的，是用和平所栽種的義果。

就是真理的聖靈，乃世人不能接受的；因為不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裏面。

但你們得在基督耶穌裏是本乎神，神又使他成為我們的智慧、公義、聖潔、救贖。

神所差來的就說神的話，因為神賜聖靈給他是沒有限量的。

耶和華說：「至於我與他們所立的約乃是這樣：我加給你的靈，傳給你的話，必不離你的口，也不離你後裔與你後裔之後裔的口，從今直到永遠；這是耶和華說的。」

你們要就近我來聽這話：我從起頭並未曾在隱密處說話；自從有這事，我就在那裏。現在，主耶和華差遣我和他的靈來。

但我要從父那裏差保惠師來，就是從父出來真理的聖靈；他來了，就要為我作見證。

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降與他身上的靈分賜那七十個長老。靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就受感說話，以後卻沒有再說。但有兩個人仍在營裏，一個名叫伊利達，一個名叫米達。他們本是在那些被錄的人中，卻沒有到會幕那裏去。靈停在他們身上，他們就在營裏說預言。

嫩的兒子約書亞；因為摩西曾按手在他頭上，就被智慧的靈充滿，以色列人便聽從他，照着耶和華吩咐摩西的行了。

要叫他們的心得安慰，因愛心互相聯絡，以致豐豐足足在悟性中有充足的信心，使他們真知神的奧祕，就是基督；所積蓄的一切智慧知識，都在他裏面藏着。

神怎樣以聖靈和能力膏拿撒勒人耶穌，這都是你們知道的。他周流四方，行善事，醫好凡被魔鬼壓制的人，因為神與他同在。
