The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on that Branch. The Spirit will help him to be wise and understanding. The Spirit will help him make wise plans and carry them out. The Spirit will help him know the Lord and have respect for him.

And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.

主耶和华的灵在我身上，因为耶和华膏抹我，要我传好消息给卑微的人；他派遣我去治愈心灵破碎的人，去宣告被掳的得自由、被囚的得释放，

不过当那位真理的灵来了，他就会引导你们进入一切真理。那时，他不会凭着自己说话，只把所听到的说出来，并且把那些就要来的事传讲给你们。

“看哪，我的仆人——我所扶持、我所拣选、我心所喜悦的！我已经把我的灵赐给他，他必给列国带来公正。

也把你们在圣灵里的爱告诉了我们。为此，我们自从听到这事的那一天起，就不断地为你们祷告和祈求：愿你们藉着一切属灵的智慧和悟性，能被神旨意的真正知识所充满；

耶稣受了洗，一从水里上来，看哪，诸天就为他开了，他看见神的灵好像鸽子降下，临到他身上。

愿我们主耶稣基督的神——荣耀的父，赐给你们智慧和启示的灵，使你们能真正地认识他。我也求神照亮你们心中的眼睛，使你们知道：属他召唤的盼望到底是什么；在圣徒中间，他继业荣耀的丰盛到底是什么；

实际上，神所赐给我们的，不是胆怯的灵，而是大能、慈爱、自制的灵。

约翰又见证说：“我看到圣灵好像鸽子从天上降临，停留在他身上。我以前也不认识他，可是那派我用水施洗的对我说：‘如果你看见圣灵降临在谁身上，又停留在谁身上，谁就是用圣灵施洗的那一位。’

至于从上面来的智慧，首先是纯洁的，然后是和平的、谦和的、温顺的，满有怜悯和美好的果子的，是不偏私、不虚假的；并且义行的果子，是由那些缔造和平的人，在和平中种下的。

他就是真理的灵，是世界不能接受的，因为世界看不到他，也不认识他。而你们认识他，因为他与你们同在，并且要在你们里面。

但本于神，你们却是在基督耶稣里的。基督耶稣为我们成了从神而来的智慧、公义、圣洁和救赎，

神所差派的那一位，就说神的话语，因为神不靠着量度赐下圣灵。

耶和华说：“至于我，我与他们所立的约就是：那在你身上的我的灵、我放在你口中的我的话，必不离开你的口，也不离开你后裔的口以及你后裔之后裔的口；从今直到永远！”这是耶和华说的。

你们要靠近我听这话！从起初，我就没有在隐秘处说话；从事情发生之时，我就在那里。”现在，主耶和华派遣了我和他的灵。

“我将从父那里派遣慰助者来，他就是从父而来的真理的灵。他来的时候，将为我做见证。

好让他们的心受到安慰，在爱中结合在一起，以致得到由悟性的确信不疑而来的一切丰盛，直到真正认识神的奥秘，就是基督——在他里面隐藏着一切智慧和知识的财宝。

就是神怎样以圣灵和能力膏立拿撒勒人耶稣，他走遍各地行善，使所有受魔鬼压制的人痊愈，因为神与他同在。
