The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.

The Lord will dry up the Red Sea in Egypt. By his power he’ll send a burning wind to sweep over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into many streams. Then people will be able to go across it wearing sandals.

And the Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt, and will wave his hand over the River with his scorching breath, and strike it into seven channels, and he will lead people across in sandals.

The Lord will make a dry path through the gulf of the Red Sea. He will wave his hand over the Euphrates River, sending a mighty wind to divide it into seven streams so it can easily be crossed on foot.

In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave your heads and private parts, and to cut off your beards also.

He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood.The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.

It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave it as food to the creatures of the desert.It was you who opened up springs and streams; you dried up the ever- flowing rivers.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,

The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry.The canals will stink; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither,also the plants along the Nile, at the mouth of the river. Every sown field along the Nile will become parched, will blow away and be no more.The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away.Those who work with combed flax will despair, the weavers of fine linen will lose hope.The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.
