The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.

The Lord will dry up the Red Sea in Egypt. By his power he’ll send a burning wind to sweep over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into many streams. Then people will be able to go across it wearing sandals.

And the Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt, and will wave his hand over the River with his scorching breath, and strike it into seven channels, and he will lead people across in sandals.

當是時主必藉河外之人、即亞述王、翦除民眾、如以所租之薙刀、薙除首髮、足毛、及鬚髯、

我必涸其諸河、以其國付惡人之手、藉外邦人毀壞斯地與其中人物、我耶和華已言之矣、

先知祈曰、主之聖臂歟、勃然而興、施展大能、施展大能原文作衣被大力興如在曩日、如在古時、昔摧折拉哈伯、刺傷龍者、豈非爾乎、使海枯竭、大淵水涸、使深海中有途、使被贖之民、得以經過者、豈非爾乎、

我必降罰於爾、及爾諸河、使伊及地盡成荒墟、變為沙漠、自密奪密奪又作密革奪下同至敘以尼、以及古實交界之地、

主諭摩西曰、爾命亞倫云、爾執爾杖、舉手指伊及諸水、即江河池沼與一切注水處、水悉變為血、伊及遍地、以至木石器皿中皆有血、摩西亞倫即遵主所命而行、在法老與法老之群臣前、舉杖擊河水、河中水悉變為血、河中之魚皆斃、河盡臭、伊及人不能飲河之水、伊及遍地皆有血、

主昔以大能分裂滄海、在水面折斷龍頭、曾擊破鱷魚之頭、以賜居曠野者為食、曾裂地出泉、成為溪河、復使長流之江河、涸成旱地、

於是摩西伸手於海上、主使東風大吹、飄揚終夜、使海水退、海中如陸地而水分析、

海中之水必竭、河亦必涸而乾、江河盡臭、伊及之水渠水渠或作流川盡涸、蘆葦必雕、河旁與河口之百草、及近河之一切禾稼盡枯、皆被風揚、歸於無有、漁人哀哭、投釣於河者悲傷、張網於水面者悽慘、績麻者失望、織布者亦如是、其國柱必傾頹、凡傭工者心憂、
