The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.

The Lord will dry up the Red Sea in Egypt. By his power he’ll send a burning wind to sweep over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into many streams. Then people will be able to go across it wearing sandals.

The Lord will make a dry path through the gulf of the Red Sea. He will wave his hand over the Euphrates River, sending a mighty wind to divide it into seven streams so it can easily be crossed on foot.

In the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants he lifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the water in the Nile turned into blood.And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

You divided the sea by your might; you broke the heads of the sea monsters on the waters.You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.You split open springs and brooks; you dried up ever-flowing streams.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

And the waters of the sea will be dried up, and the river will be dry and parched,and its canals will become foul, and the branches of Egypt’s Nile will diminish and dry up, reeds and rushes will rot away.There will be bare places by the Nile, on the brink of the Nile, and all that is sown by the Nile will be parched, will be driven away, and will be no more.The fishermen will mourn and lament, all who cast a hook in the Nile; and they will languish who spread nets on the water.The workers in combed flax will be in despair, and the weavers of white cotton.Those who are the pillars of the land will be crushed, and all who work for pay will be grieved.
