On that day people will come to you from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, even from Egypt to the Euphrates River and from sea to sea and mountain to mountain.

He will not grow weak or be discouraged until he has established justice on earth. The coasts and islands will wait for his instruction.”

I will establish a sign among them, and I will send survivors from them to the nations— to Tarshish, Put, Lud( who are archers), Tubal, Javan, and the coasts and islands far away— who have not heard about me or seen my glory. And they will proclaim my glory among the nations.

I saw the vision, and as I watched, I was in the fortress city of Susa, in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal.

On that day the LORD will thresh grain from the Euphrates River as far as the Wadi of Egypt, and you Israelites will be gathered one by one.On that day a great ram’s horn will be blown, and those lost in the land of Assyria will come, as well as those dispersed in the land of Egypt; and they will worship the LORD at Jerusalem on the holy mountain.

The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be reduced to a few survivors among the nations where the LORD your God will drive you.There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see, hear, eat, or smell.But from there, you will search for the LORD your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, in the future you will return to the LORD your God and obey him.He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them by oath, because the LORD your God is a compassionate God.

Then he will turn his attention to the coasts and islands and capture many. But a commander will put an end to his taunting; instead, he will turn his taunts against him.

This is the word that came to Jeremiah for all the Jews living in the land of Egypt— at Migdol, Tahpanhes, Memphis, and in the land of Pathros:

And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.

“ Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’“ Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.’“ When they arrive there, they will remove all its abhorrent acts and detestable practices from it.I will give them integrity of heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,so that they will follow my statutes, keep my ordinances, and practice them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

For if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
