In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.

At that time, here is what the man who is called the Root of Jesse will do. He will be like a banner that brings nations together. They will come to him. And the place where he rules will be glorious.

In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples— of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.

In that day the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place.

Then on that day The nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal flag for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious.

“ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.”

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting- place shall be glorious.

and so that Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to your name.Again it says, Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people!And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples praise him!And again, Isaiah says, The root of Jesse will appear, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in him.

Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

As for me, if I am lifted up from the earth I will draw all people to myself.”

a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to your people Israel.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, wise men from the east arrived in Jerusalem,saying,“ Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star at its rising and have come to worship him.”

When they heard this they became silent. And they glorified God, saying,“ So then, God has given repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles.”

I tell you that many will come from east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place, in safe and secure dwellings.

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to attest these things to you for the churches. I am the Root and descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.

This is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my banner to the peoples. They will bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters will be carried on their shoulders.

He will cover you with his feathers; you will take refuge under his wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.

Now some Greeks were among those who went up to worship at the festival.So they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him,“ Sir, we want to see Jesus.”

They will fear the name of the LORD in the west and his glory in the east; for he will come like a rushing stream driven by the wind of the LORD.

When the LORD gives you rest from your pain, torment, and the hard labor you were forced to do,

Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will tremble and rejoice, because the riches of the sea will become yours and the wealth of the nations will come to you.

“ The final glory of this house will be greater than the first,” says the LORD of Armies.“ I will provide peace in this place”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

This is what the LORD says: Stand by the roadways and look. Ask about the ancient paths,“ Which is the way to what is good?” Then take it and find rest for yourselves. But they protested,“ We won’t!”

The pride of mankind will be humbled, and human loftiness will be brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted on that day.

I will establish a sign among them, and I will send survivors from them to the nations— to Tarshish, Put, Lud( who are archers), Tubal, Javan, and the coasts and islands far away— who have not heard about me or seen my glory. And they will proclaim my glory among the nations.

Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

so that the proven character of your faith— more valuable than gold which, though perishable, is refined by fire— may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.Though you have not seen him, you love him; though not seeing him now, you believe in him, and you rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy,because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

He had said to them,“ This is the place of rest; let the weary rest; this is the place of repose.” But they would not listen.

I will rescue you from your people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to themto open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Be glad for Jerusalem and rejoice over her, all who love her. Rejoice greatly with her, all who mourn over her—so that you may nurse and be satisfied from her comforting breast and drink deeply and delight yourselves from her glorious breasts.For this is what the LORD says: I will make peace flow to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flood; you will nurse and be carried on her hip and bounced on her lap.

The nations will put their hope in his name.

Let the faithful celebrate in triumphal glory; let them shout for joy on their beds.

Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God’s people.For the person who has entered his rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from his.Let us, then, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens— Jesus the Son of God— let us hold fast to our confession.For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin.Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.

The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little while.

and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,when he takes vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from his glorious strengthon that day when he comes to be glorified by his saints and to be marveled at by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.In view of this, we always pray for you that our God will make you worthy of his calling, and by his power fulfill your every desire to do good and your work produced by faith,so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified by you, and you by him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Nations will come to your light, and kings to your shining brightness.

Therefore, since the promise to enter his rest remains, let us beware that none of you be found to have fallen short.
