我擊天下、得人貨財、如覆巢取卵、雌鳥遠飛、無有哀鳴而鼓翼者。

As one reaches into a nest, so my hand reached for the wealth of the nations; as people gather abandoned eggs, so I gathered all the countries; not one flapped a wing, or opened its mouth to chirp.’”

I’ve taken the wealth of the nations. It was as easy as reaching into a bird’s nest. I’ve gathered the riches of all these countries. It was as easy as gathering eggs that have been left in a nest. Not a single baby bird flapped its wings. Not one of them opened its mouth to chirp.’ ”

何曾以貨財之豐、所獲者之多為樂、

主曰、爾雖高居如鷹、結巢於星間、我必自彼降爾下、

爾居巖穴、據守山巔、自以為可畏、心志狂傲以自昧、雖爾如鷹結巢於高處、我必自彼使爾降落、此乃主所言、

以詐言求財、即自取死、所得者猶如虛氣、惡者強暴、不行公義、終必驟亡、

禍哉、爾曹增室於室、增田於田、以致不遺隙地、爾欲獨居斯地乎、

以法蓮猶如商賈、手持不公之權衡、樂行欺詐、以法蓮自謂我已富有、已獲貨財、凡我由勤勞所得者、人必不見我有不義、不義原文作愆尤有獲罪之處、

惟彼敵人、貪酒作孽、驕傲不安、放縱情慾、永不知足、猶如示阿勒、示阿勒有譯黃泉有譯陰府有譯墳墓彷彿死地、並吞列邦、使諸邦國、歸其統轄、並吞列邦使諸邦國歸其統轄原文作聚列邦集諸國歸於己斯眾必作嘲笑之歌以譏之、出諷刺之言以誚之、曰、禍哉爾歟、聚斂不屬己之財、何時為止、誠為己積累重大之孽債、困困原文作噬爾者突起、逐逐或作撼爾者忽醒、攘奪爾之所有、因爾劫掠多國、殺人流血、在國中、在邑中、行強暴、虐遇居民、故所餘之列國、亦將劫掠爾、禍哉爾歟、為己家積不義之財、結巢於高處、求免災害、爾謀不義、貽羞己家、殲民眾多、自取罪戾、壁中之石將乎、屋巔之梁將應、以訟爾罪、

人心倨傲、必速敗亡、欲得尊榮、必先謙遜、

可劫其中銀、可掠其中金、所貯藏之貨財無盡、一切寶物、無不繁多、尼尼微邑全然空虛、變為荒邱、居民膽怯、兩膝戰慄、彼此相擊、諸腰痛楚、諸面變色、今也牡獅之穴安在、壯獅養育養育或作攫食之處安在、昔者牡獅牝獅、以及穉獅、俱遊於斯、無人叱之、叱之或作敢惹牡獅為穉獅搏食、為牝獅攫物、以所攫搏者、充其洞穴、以所噬斃者、盈其居處、萬有之主曰、我必涖臨降罰於爾、我必涖臨降罰於爾或作我必攻爾下同燬爾車乘、使成煙焰、爾諸壯獅、爾諸壯獅或作爾如獅之壯丁必為刃所戮、必為刃所戮原文作刃必食之我必使爾劫掠之物、物或作事不復見於地、爾使者之聲、亦不復聞焉、尼尼微邑殺人流血、充以詭詐強暴、攘奪不息、禍必臨之、
