“ Son of man, tell the prince of Tyre,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the middle of the seas;’ yet you are man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God—behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that is hidden from you;by your wisdom and by your understanding you have gotten yourself riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasures;by your great wisdom and by your trading you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches—”“‘ therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Because you have set your heart as the heart of God,therefore, behold, I will bring strangers on you, the terrible of the nations. In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria, and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.By your servants, you have defied the Lord, and have said,“ With the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon. I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees. I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field.I have dug and drunk water, and with the sole of my feet I will dry up all the rivers of Egypt.”

So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half- tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and to the river of Gozan, to this day.
