爾既屢犯、我將加罰、奈身首俱傷、肝膽皆裂、當擊何處。

爾屢增悖逆、尚有何處可擊、首皆已痛、心悉已憊、

Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted.

Israel, why do you want to be beaten all the time? Why do you always refuse to obey the Lord? Your head is covered with wounds. Your whole heart is weak.

Why do you continue to invite punishment? Must you rebel forever? Your head is injured, and your heart is sick.

Why do you want more beatings? Why do you keep on rebelling? The whole head is hurt, and the whole heart is sick.

Where will you be stricken again, As you continue in your rebellion? The entire head is sick And the entire heart is faint.

Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

In the time of his distress he became yet more faithless to the Lord— this same King Ahaz.

And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him.For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
