錫安中的罪人都恐懼；不拜上帝的人被震顫抓住了，說：『我們中間誰能和吞滅的火同住呢？我們中間誰能和永遠的燃燒物同居呢？』

倘若你的一隻手使你絆跌，把它砍掉吧。你殘廢了進入生命，比有兩隻手而往地獄裏，入那不滅的火裏倒好呢。

大有威勢的領袖必從陰間中論到埃及跟她的幫助者說：「他們已經下來，長臥着不動呢：嘿，沒受割禮的、被刀刺死的人。」

永恆主啊，你的手高舉，他們仍然不看；願他們看你為人民發的熱心而慚愧；哦，願那為你敵人保留的火吞滅他們。

那使車輛、馬匹、軍兵、勇士一概都出來，都仆倒，不能再起，都熄絕，像殘麻滅掉的、永恆主這麼說：

因了萬軍之永恆主的暴怒、地都被燒燬；人民都成了燒火的燃料，沒有人顧惜自己的弟兄。

天被收起，像書卷捲起來；眾山和海島都被移動、離開其位置。地上的君王、大官、千夫長、富戶、壯士、和一切為奴的、自主的、都藏在洞窟和山上的磐石裏；向山和磐石說：『倒在我們身上吧，把我們藏起來，好躲避坐寶座者的面目和羔羊的義怒哦。』因為他們遭上帝義怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？
