The mighty man will become tinder and his work a spark; both will burn together, with no one to quench the fire.”

看哪！你們一切點火、用火把圍繞自己的，就在你們火焰的光和你們所點的火把中走下去吧！你們必躺在痛苦之地——這就是從我手中臨到你們的！

就要喝神憤怒的酒，就是混合在神震怒之杯中那沒有稀釋的酒。他將要在聖天使們面前、羔羊面前，在烈火和硫磺中受折磨。折磨他們時的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。那些膜拜獸和獸像的，以及任何接受牠名字印記的，都將日夜得不到安息。

罪人在錫安懼怕，不敬虔的人被戰兢抓住，說：「我們中間誰能與吞噬之火同住？我們中間誰能與不滅之焰共居？」

如果你的一隻手使你絆倒，就把它砍掉！對你來說，缺一隻手進入永生，要比雙手齊全下地獄，到那永不熄滅的火裡好多了。

但那獸被抓了；那假先知也與牠一起被抓了——他在獸面前行了許多奇蹟，藉此迷惑那些接受獸的印記並膜拜獸像的人。獸和那假先知兩個都活生生地被丟進燃燒著硫磺的火湖裡。

萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪！那日子將要來到，燃燒如火爐；所有傲慢的和作惡的都必成為麥稭，那要來的日子必把他們燒盡，不留下一根一枝。

耶和華啊，你的手高舉，他們卻不看！願他們看到你對子民的熱心就蒙羞；願你為敵人所預備的烈火吞噬他們！

他把戰車、馬匹、軍隊和勇士都領出，使他們一同躺下不再起來，使他們滅沒好像燈芯熄滅一樣——耶和華如此說：

因著萬軍之耶和華的盛怒，地被焚毀，百姓必像燒火的燃料，沒有人憐恤自己的兄弟。

天被劈裂，好像書卷被捲起來；一切山嶺和海島也都從原處被挪開了。地上的眾君王、大臣、軍官、富有的、有權的、所有的奴隸和自由人，都藏在洞穴裡和山嶺的岩石間。他們對山嶺和岩石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，好躲避坐在寶座上那一位的臉和羔羊的震怒；因為他們震怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」
