The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

The ox knows its master. The donkey knows where its owner feeds it. But Israel does not know me. My people do not understand me.”

The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care— but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them.”

空中的鸛鳥知道自己的季節，斑鳩、燕子與白鶴也守候當來的時令；我的百姓卻不知道耶和華的法則。

他們既無知，又不思想；因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼，使他們看不見，塞住他們的心，使他們不明白。

凡聽見天國的道而不明白的，那惡者就來，把撒在他心裏的奪了去；這就是撒在路旁的了。

「因為他們是缺乏智謀的國家，他們裏面毫無聰明。惟願他們有智慧，能明白這事，他們就會想到自己的結局。

他們既然故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們存扭曲的心，做那些不該做的事，

懶惰人哪，你去察看螞蟻的動作，就可得智慧。

百姓中像畜牲一般的人當思想，你們愚昧人要到幾時才有智慧呢？

他們在宴席上彈琴，鼓瑟，擊鼓，吹笛，飲酒，卻不留意耶和華的作為，也不留心他手所做的。

人人都如同畜牲，毫無知識；銀匠都因偶像羞愧，他所鑄的偶像本是虛假，它們裏面並無氣息。

我之所以用比喻對他們講，是因為他們看卻看不清，聽卻聽不見，也不明白。在他們身上，正應驗了以賽亞的預言：『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白，看了又看，卻看不清。因為這百姓的心麻木，耳朵發沉，眼睛閉着，免得眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裏明白，回轉過來，我會醫治他們。』

「我的百姓愚頑，不認識我；他們是愚昧無知的兒女，有智慧行惡，沒有知識行善。」

他們故意忘記這事，就是從太古憑上帝的話有了天，並由水而出和藉着水而成的地；

他們如同畜牲，盡都愚昧。偶像的訓誨算甚麼呢？偶像不過是木頭，

它的枝條一枯乾，就被折斷，婦女用以點火燃燒。因為這百姓蒙昧無知，所以，造他們的必不憐憫他們，造成他們的也不施恩給他們。

他們彎起舌頭像弓，為要說謊話；他們在國中增長勢力，不是為誠信。他們惡上加惡，並不認識我。這是耶和華說的。你們各人當謹防鄰舍，不可信賴弟兄；因為弟兄盡行欺騙，鄰舍也都往來毀謗人。他們互相欺騙，不說真話，訓練自己的舌頭說謊，竭盡所能地作惡。你居住在詭詐的人中；他們因行詭詐，不願意認識我。這是耶和華說的。
