Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.

Jerusalem, your silver isn’t pure anymore. Your best wine has been made weak with water.

Your silver has become dross, your best wine mixed with water.

Once like pure silver, you have become like worthless slag. Once so pure, you are now like watered down wine.

Your silver has become dross to be discarded, your beer is diluted with water.

Your silver has become waste matter, Your drink diluted with water.

Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they[ are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are[ even] the dross of silver.Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.[ As] they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt[ it]; so will I gather[ you] in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave[ you there], and melt you.Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

How is the gold become dim![ how] is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers[ with] shame do love, Give ye.

They[ are] all grievous revolters, walking with slanders:[ they are] brass and iron; they[ are] all corrupters.The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.Reprobate silver shall[ men] call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness[ is] as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
