Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.

Jerusalem, your silver isn’t pure anymore. Your best wine has been made weak with water.

Your silver has become dross, your best wine mixed with water.

Once like pure silver, you have become like worthless slag. Once so pure, you are now like watered down wine.

Your silver has become dross to be discarded, your beer is diluted with water.

Your silver has become waste matter, Your drink diluted with water.

How is the gold become dim! how is the most pure gold changed! The stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every street.The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, How are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

Their drink is become sour; they play the harlot continually; her rulers dearly love shame.

They are all grievous revolters, going about with slanders; they are brass and iron: they all of them deal corruptly.The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed of the fire: in vain do they go on refining; for the wicked are not plucked away.Refuse silver shall men call them, because Jehovah hath rejected them.

For we are not as the many, corrupting the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ.
