他向天上、向大地呼唤，为要审判自己的子民；

藐视我名的祭司们哪，万军之耶和华对你们说：“儿子尊敬父亲，仆人敬畏他的主人。我既是父亲，我当受的尊敬在哪里呢？我既是主人，我当受的敬畏在哪里呢？你们竟然问：‘我们是怎么藐视你名的呢？’

因为他们是悖逆的子民，欺诈的儿女，是不肯听从耶和华训诲的儿女。

“雅各家啊，以色列家所有的余剩之民哪，你们这些自出母腹就被我负抱、自出母胎就被我背负的人，要听我的话！直到你们年老，我还是一样；直到你们发白，我仍然扶持你们；我既造了你们，就必背负、扶持、拯救你们。

我终日向悖逆的子民伸出我的手。他们随着自己的意念行不善之道；

耶和华宣告：“祸哉！悖逆的儿女！他们所行的计划不出于我，所立的盟约不出于我的灵，致使他们罪上加罪。

我要为我所爱的人唱歌——一首我爱人的歌，有关他葡萄园的歌。我所爱的人有一个葡萄园，在肥沃的山冈上。他翻松园地，清除石头，栽种了上好的葡萄树，并在园中建造了一座守望楼，又开凿了一个榨酒池。他指望结出好葡萄，却结出了野葡萄。

他在他们的一切患难中也受患难，并且他面前的使者拯救了他们。他以自己的爱和怜恤救赎了他们，在古时所有的日子里举起他们、背负他们。然而他们悖逆，使他的圣灵忧伤；他就转成他们的仇敌，亲自与他们争战。

要知道，我们所看见所听见的，我们不能不说。”

他们是以色列人：儿子的名份、荣耀、诸约、所赐的律法、礼仪、各样应许，都是他们的；祖先也是他们的；照着肉身说，基督也是出自他们的——他是那在万有之上当受颂赞的神，直到永远！阿们。

这样说来，犹太人有什么优越呢？割礼有什么益处呢？在各方面都有很多。首要的，是神的话语确实委托给他们了。
