耶和华如此说：你们要施行公平和公义，拯救被抢夺的脱离欺压者的手，不可亏负寄居的和孤儿寡妇，不可用残暴对待他们，也不可在这地方流无辜人的血。

世人哪，耶和华已指示你何为善。他向你所要的是什么呢？只要你行公义，好怜悯，存谦卑的心与你的上帝同行。

当为贫寒的人和孤儿伸冤，为困苦和穷乏的人施行公义。当保护贫寒和贫穷的人，救他们脱离恶人的手。

你的官长悖逆，与盗贼为伍，全都喜爱贿赂，追求赃物；他们不为孤儿伸冤，寡妇的案件也呈不到他们面前。

你当开口按公义判断，当为困苦和贫穷的人辩护。

“万军之耶和华如此说：你们要按真正的公平来审判，彼此以慈爱怜悯相待。不可欺压寡妇、孤儿、寄居的和困苦的人。谁都不可心里谋害弟兄。

难道你作王就是要盖香柏木楼房争胜的吗？你的父亲岂不是也吃也喝，也施行公平和公义吗？那时他得了福乐。他为困苦和贫穷的人伸冤，那时就得了福乐。认识我不就在此吗？这是耶和华说的。

世上遵守耶和华典章的谦卑人哪，你们都当寻求耶和华，寻求公义，寻求谦卑；或许在耶和华发怒的日子得以隐藏。

你们所当行的是这样：每个人要与邻舍说诚实话，在城门口要按真正的公平来审判，使人和睦。

王啊，求你悦纳我的谏言，以施行公义除去罪过，以怜悯穷人除掉罪恶，或者你的平安可以延长。”
