“ Of what importance to me are your many sacrifices?” says the LORD.“ I am stuffed with burnt sacrifices of rams and the fat from steers. The blood of bulls, lambs, and goats I do not want.

耶和华说：“你们献上许多祭物，对我有什么用呢？我厌烦公绵羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂肪，我不喜欢公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血。

耶和华说：“你们献上众多祭物，对我有什么益处呢？公绵羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂肪，我已经够了；公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血，我都不喜悦。

耶和華說：“你們獻上眾多祭物，對我有甚麼益處呢？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂肪，我已經夠了；公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血，我都不喜悅。

永恆主說：『你們所獻的許多祭物、對我有甚麼益處？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油、我飽飫了；公牛的血、羊羔和公山羊的血、我都不喜悅。

耶和華說：「你們所獻的眾多祭物，對我有什麼意義呢？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油，我已經膩煩了；公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血，我也不喜悅。

耶和華曰、爾獻祭品眾多、與我何與、牡羊之燔祭、肥畜之脂膏、我已厭之、犢血羔血、與牡山羊之血、我不悅之、

耶和華曰、恆獻禮物、與我何與、爾燔牡綿羊、焚肥畜之膋、我所厭惡、牛犢羔羊、牡山羊之血、我不悅懌。

主云、爾獻多祭、與我何益、以牡綿羊獻為火焚祭、及肥畜之脂、為我所厭、牛血、羔血、牡山羊之血、非我所悅、

“ The multitude of your sacrifices— what are they to me?” says the Lord.“ I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.

“ Do you think I need any more of your sacrifices?” asks the Lord.“ I have more than enough of your burnt offerings. I have more than enough of rams and the fat of your fattest animals. I do not find any pleasure in the blood of your bulls, lambs and goats.

“ What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the Lord; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of goats.

“ What makes you think I want all your sacrifices?” says the Lord.“ I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.

“ What are all your sacrifices to me?” asks the LORD.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings and rams and the fat of well-fed cattle; I have no desire for the blood of bulls, lambs, or male goats.

“ What are your many sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fattened cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.

“ To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.

What unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt- offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he- goats.

“ What are all your sacrifices to Me?” asks the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings and rams and the fat of well-fed cattle; I have no desire for the blood of bulls, lambs, or male goats.

To what purpose[ is] the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

“ What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?”, says Yahweh.“ I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed animals. I don’t delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.

Then Samuel said,“ Does the LORD take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as he does in obedience? Certainly, obedience is better than sacrifice; paying attention is better than the fat of rams.

“ I absolutely despise your festivals! I get no pleasure from your religious assemblies!

I take no delight when they offer up to me frankincense that comes from Sheba or sweet-smelling cane imported from a faraway land. I cannot accept the burnt offerings they bring me. I get no pleasure from the sacrifices they offer to me.’

I am not condemning you because of your sacrifices, or because of your burnt sacrifices that you continually offer me.

Will the LORD accept a thousand rams, or ten thousand streams of olive oil? Should I give him my firstborn child as payment for my rebellion, my offspring– my own flesh and blood– for my sin?

The LORD abhors the sacrifices of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.

“ I wish that one of you would close the temple doors, so that you no longer would light useless fires on my altar. I am not pleased with you,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ and I will no longer accept an offering from you.

The one who slaughters a bull also strikes down a man; the one who sacrifices a lamb also breaks a dog’s neck; the one who presents an offering includes pig’s blood with it; the one who offers incense also praises an idol. They have decided to behave this way; they enjoy these disgusting practices.

Go and learn what this saying means:‘ I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

The wicked person’s sacrifice is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with evil intent!

Certainly you do not want a sacrifice, or else I would offer it; you do not desire a burnt sacrifice.

The LORD said to the people of Judah,“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says:‘ You might as well go ahead and add the meat of your burnt offerings to that of the other sacrifices and eat it, too!
