降罰之日速至、施報之日將臨、以色列人必知偽先知愚魯、自言感神者顛狂、皆因爾多犯罪惡、大懷怨恨、

The days of punishment are coming, the days of reckoning are at hand. Let Israel know this. Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired person a maniac.

The time when God will punish you is coming. The day when he will judge you is near. I want Israel to know this. You have committed many sins. And you hate me very much. That’s why you think the prophet is foolish. You think the person the Lord speaks through is crazy.

The best of them is like a brier; The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge; The day of your watchman and your punishment comes; Now shall be their perplexity.

What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?

Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!

They are futile, a work of errors; In the time of their punishment they shall perish.

Your prophets have seen for you False and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, To bring back your captives, But have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions.

“ And if the prophet is induced to speak anything, I the Lord have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.And they shall bear their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be the same as the punishment of the one who inquired,

For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

“ The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, so that there should be officers in the house of the Lord over every man who is demented and considers himself a prophet, that you should put him in prison and in the stocks.

and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him,“ Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” And he said to them,“ You know the man and his babble.”

“ Because, indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying,‘ Peace!’ when there is no peace— and one builds a wall, and they plaster it with untempered mortar—

Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice,“ Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!”But he said,“ I am not mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason.

Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, They have done violence to the law.

“ Son of man, what is this proverb that you people have about the land of Israel, which says,‘ The days are prolonged, and every vision fails’?Tell them therefore,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ I will lay this proverb to rest, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.”’ But say to them,‘“ The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.For no more shall there be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the Lord God.’”Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ Son of man, look, the house of Israel is saying,‘ The vision that he sees is for many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’Therefore say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’”

For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, Saying,‘ Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace.

And He said,“ Amos, what do you see?” So I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me:“ The end has come upon My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.

The great day of the Lord is near; It is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; There the mighty men shall cry out.That day is a day of wrath, A day of trouble and distress, A day of devastation and desolation, A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness,A day of trumpet and alarm Against the fortified cities And against the high towers.“ I will bring distress upon men, And they shall walk like blind men, Because they have sinned against the Lord; Their blood shall be poured out like dust, And their flesh like refuse.”Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the LORD’s wrath; But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy, For He will make speedy riddance Of all those who dwell in the land.

“ And you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel:‘ An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.Now the end has come upon you, And I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways, And I will repay you for all your abominations.My eye will not spare you, Nor will I have pity; But I will repay your ways, And your abominations will be in your midst; Then you shall know that I am the Lord!’“ Thus says the Lord GOD:‘ A disaster, a singular disaster; Behold, it has come!An end has come, The end has come; It has dawned for you; Behold, it has come!Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land; The time has come, A day of trouble is near, And not of rejoicing in the mountains.

Lord, when Your hand is lifted up, they will not see. But they will see and be ashamed For their envy of people; Yes, the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.

Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.”’

For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.

and there shall be no remnant of them, for I will bring catastrophe on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their punishment.’”

Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

If a man should walk in a false spirit And speak a lie, saying,‘ I will prophesy to you of wine and drink,’ Even he would be the prattler of this people.

But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said,“ He is out of His mind.”

And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.”

Also her mercenaries are in her midst like fat bulls, For they also are turned back, They have fled away together. They did not stand, For the day of their calamity had come upon them, The time of their punishment.

But he will eat the flesh of the fat and tear their hooves in pieces.“ Woe to the worthless shepherd, Who leaves the flock! A sword shall be against his arm And against his right eye; His arm shall completely wither, And his right eye shall be totally blinded.”

I will execute great vengeance on them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I lay My vengeance upon them.”’”

For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, The year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;

Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord.They continually say to those who despise Me,‘ The Lord has said,“ You shall have peace”’; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,‘ No evil shall come upon you.’”

The watchman of Ephraim is with my God; But the prophet is a fowler’s snare in all his ways— Enmity in the house of his God.
