He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

And Micaiah said,“ As the Lord lives, whatever my God says, that I will speak.”

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say,“ You are my God.”

“ But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me.So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.“ Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!

“ From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, this is the twenty-third year in which the word of the Lord has come to me; and I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, but you have not listened.And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear.

I would have said,“ I will dash them in pieces, I will make the memory of them to cease from among men,”

But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy.

For the Lord will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River, because they have made their wooden images, provoking the Lord to anger.And He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who sinned and who made Israel sin.”
