“ They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no head; it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.

耶和华不轻易发怒，大有能力，万不以有罪的为无罪。他乘旋风和暴风而来，云彩为他脚下的尘土。

外邦人吞吃他劳力得来的，他却不知道；头发斑白，他也不觉得。

“看哪，耶和华必在火中降临；他的车辇像旋风，以烈怒施行报应，以火焰施行责罚；

他来的情形怎样，他去的情形也怎样。这也是一宗大祸患。他为风劳碌有什么益处呢？

因此到了收割的日子，出酒的时候，我必将我的五谷、新酒收回，也必将她应当遮体的羊毛和麻夺回来。

你的土产和你劳碌得来的，必被你所不认识的国民吃尽。你时常被欺负，受压制，

你们要为自己栽种公义，就能收割慈爱。现今正是寻求耶和华的时候；你们要开垦荒地，等他临到，使公义如雨降在你们身上。“你们耕种的是奸恶，收割的是罪孽，吃的是谎话的果子。因你倚靠自己的行为，仰赖勇士众多，

栽种的日子，你周围圈上篱笆，又到早晨使你所种的开花；但在愁苦极其伤痛的日子，所收割的都飞去了。

亚述王普勒来攻击以色列国，米拿现给他一千他连得银子，请普勒帮助他坚定国位。

以色列人每逢撒种之后，米甸人、亚玛力人，和东方人都上来攻打他们，对着他们安营，毁坏土产，直到迦萨，没有给以色列人留下食物，牛、羊、驴也没有留下；因为那些人带着牲畜帐棚来，像蝗虫那样多，人和骆驼无数，都进入国内，毁坏全地。以色列人因米甸人的缘故，极其穷乏，就呼求耶和华。

以色列王比加年间，亚述王提革拉毗列色来夺了以云、亚伯伯玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，将这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。
