Now Israel pleads with me,‘ Help us, for you are our God!’

他們必呼求我：「我的神啊，我們以色列認識你了。」

他們要向我呼求，『我們的上帝啊，我們以色列人認識你了。』

他們必向我哀求：‘我的神啊！我們以色列認識你。’

他們向我哀呼說：「我的上帝啊，我們以色列認識你。」

彼將呼籲我曰、我上帝歟、吾以色列識爾、

斯時也、以色列族籲余曰、我之上帝、我儕尊崇爾、

以色列人將呼籲我曰、我天主歟、我欲識主、

Israel cries out to me,‘ Our God, we acknowledge you!’

Israel shouts to me,‘ We recognize you as our God!’

To me they cry,“ My God, we— Israel— know you.”

Israel cries out to me,“ My God, we know you!”

They cry out to Me,“ My God, we of Israel know You!”

Israel will cry to Me,‘ My God, we know You!’

They shall cry unto me, My God, we Israel know thee.

Israel cries out to Me,“ My God, we know You!”

Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.

Israel cries out to me,“ My God, we acknowledge you!”

They cry to me,‘ My God, we Israel acknowledge you!’

“ Not everyone who calls out to me,‘ Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

When the master of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. You will stand outside knocking and pleading,‘ Lord, open the door for us!’ But he will reply,‘ I don’t know you or where you come from.’

When God began killing them, they finally sought him. They repented and took God seriously.Then they remembered that God was their rock, that God Most High was their redeemer.But all they gave him was lip service; they lied to him with their tongues.Their hearts were not loyal to him. They did not keep his covenant.

Then Jehu said,“ Now come with me, and see how devoted I am to the Lord.” So Jehonadab rode along with him.

You rulers make decisions based on bribes; you priests teach God’s laws only for a price; you prophets won’t prophesy unless you are paid. Yet all of you claim to depend on the Lord.“ No harm can come to us,” you say,“ for the Lord is here among us.”

“ Listen to me, O family of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and born into the family of Judah. Listen, you who take oaths in the name of the Lord and call on the God of Israel. You don’t keep your promises,even though you call yourself the holy city and talk about depending on the God of Israel, whose name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ What sorrow awaits those who have deserted me! Let them die, for they have rebelled against me. I wanted to redeem them, but they have told lies about me.They do not cry out to me with sincere hearts. Instead, they sit on their couches and wail. They cut themselves, begging foreign gods for grain and new wine, and they turn away from me.

Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling,‘ Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’

Then I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and turn to me. For as soon as trouble comes, they will earnestly search for me.”

But don’t be fooled by those who promise you safety simply because the Lord’s Temple is here. They chant,“ The Lord’s Temple is here! The Lord’s Temple is here!”

He did not, however, destroy the gold calves at Bethel and Dan, with which Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to sin.
