以色列族蔑視造化之主、自建殿宇、猶大族益築城垣、我將焚其城、燬其殿焉。

Israel has forgotten their Maker and built palaces; Judah has fortified many towns. But I will send fire on their cities that will consume their fortresses.”

猶大毫無防衛之力。那時，你們依靠藏在林宮裡的兵器。你們看見大衛城破口纍纍，你們儲存下池的水，數點耶路撒冷城的房屋，把房屋拆掉修補城牆。又在兩道城牆之間建造新的蓄水池，用來盛舊池的水。耶和華從古時已定了這一切，要使這一切發生，但你們既不仰望祂，也不理會祂。

所以，我要降火在提幔，燒毀波斯拉的城堡。」

我們是上帝的傑作，是在基督耶穌裡創造的，為要叫我們做祂預先安排給我們的美善之事。

少女會忘記她的首飾嗎？新娘會忘記她的禮服嗎？我的子民卻早已把我拋諸腦後。

他不但步尼八的兒子耶羅波安的後塵，還娶了西頓王葉巴力的女兒耶洗別為妻，供奉、祭拜巴力。

所以我要降火在哈薛王家，燒毀便·哈達王的城堡。

因為他們看見我賜給他們的子孫時，必尊我的名為聖，必尊雅各的聖者為聖，必敬畏以色列的上帝。

從光禿的山頭傳來聲音，是以色列子民哭泣呼求的聲音，因為他們走入歧途，忘掉了他們的上帝耶和華。

所以，我要在戰爭的吶喊聲中，在暴風雨吹襲的時候，降火在拉巴的城牆上，燒毀它的城堡。

所以，祂把烈怒和戰火傾倒在他們身上。他們被火包圍，卻不明白；被烈火焚身，卻不在乎。

他們彼此傳講所做的夢，想藉此使我的子民忘記我，正如他們的祖先因祭拜巴力而忘記了我。

他們忘記了拯救他們的上帝，祂曾在埃及行奇事，

所以，我要降火在泰爾的城牆上，燒毀它的城堡。」

耶和華像出征的勇士，像鬥志激昂的戰士。祂必高呼吶喊，戰勝仇敵。

希西迦王執政第十四年，亞述王西拿基立起兵攻取了猶大所有的堅城。

又在曠野建造瞭望塔，挖了許多水井，因為他在高原和平原有很多牲畜。他雇人在山區和沃野為他耕種和照料葡萄園，因為他喜愛農耕。

他還在猶大山區建造城邑，在樹林中建造營寨和瞭望塔。

耶羅波安又在高崗上修建神廟，任命各樣的人做祭司，他們並非利未人。
