主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我必使諸王之王，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，率領馬匹、戰車、騎兵、軍隊和許多人從北方來攻擊推羅。

主耶和華如此說：「我要讓軍隊上來攻擊她們，使她們驚駭，成為擄物。這軍隊必用石頭打死她們，用刀劍殺害她們，又殺戮她們的兒女，用火焚燒她們的房屋。

因此，以色列的上帝激發亞述王普勒，就是亞述王提革拉‧毗列色的心，他擄掠了呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人，把他們帶到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日。

因此，我把她交在她所愛的人手中，就是她所戀慕的亞述人手中。他們暴露她的下體，擄掠她的兒女，用刀殺了她；他們向她施行審判，使她在婦女中留下臭名。

亞述王撒縵以色上來攻擊何細亞，何細亞就服事他，向他進貢。

因耶和華看見以色列非常艱苦的困境；沒有奴役的，沒有自由的，也沒有人來幫助以色列。

萬軍之耶和華如此說：過些時候，我必再一次震動天地、滄海與乾地。
