这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。

耶户说：“把她抛下来！”他们就把她抛下来。她的血溅在墙上和马上，耶户践踏在她身上。

耶户说：“活捉他们！”人就活捉了他们，把他们杀在伯‧艾克特的坑边，共四十二人，一个也没有留下。

他们在床上呼号，却不诚心哀求我；他们为求五谷新酒而聚集，却背叛我。

信一到他们那里，他们就把王的七十个儿子杀了，将首级装在筐里，送到耶斯列，耶户那里。

心利见城被攻陷，就进了王宫的堡垒，放火焚烧宫殿，自焚而死。

他的大臣心利，就是管理他一半战车的军官背叛他。当他在得撒，在王宫的管家亚杂家里喝醉的时候，心利进去击杀他，把他杀死，篡了他的位。这是犹大王亚撒第二十七年的事。心利一坐上王位就杀了巴沙全家，连他的亲属和朋友，一个男丁也没有留下。

我在他们中间寻找一人重修城墙，在我面前为这地站在缺口上，使我不致灭绝它，却连一个也找不着。

这一切灾祸临到我们，是照摩西律法上所写的，我们却没有求耶和华—我们神的恩惠，使我们回转离开罪孽，明白你的真理。

耶户全力拉弓，射中约兰两臂中间，箭从心窝穿出，约兰就仆倒在车上。

我要去，我要回到原处，等他们自觉有罪，寻求我的面；急难时他们必切切寻求我。

犹大王亚撒第三年，巴沙杀了拿答，篡了他的位。

但随从暗利的百姓胜过随从基纳儿子提比尼的百姓。提比尼死了，暗利就作了王。
