“雅各啊，你并没有求告我；以色列啊，你倒厌烦我。

“那心中不敬虔的人积蓄怒气；神捆绑他们，他们竟不求救；

以色列的骄傲当面见证自己，虽遭遇这一切，他们仍不归向耶和华他们的神，也不寻求他。

并且无人求告你的名；无人奋力抓住你。原来你掩面不顾我们，使我们因罪孽消化。

他们立君王，却不由我；他们立首领，我却不认。他们用金银为自己制造偶像，以致被剪除。

这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。

耶户说：“把她扔下来！”他们就把她扔下来。她的血溅在墙上和马上；于是把她践踏了。

耶户吩咐说：“活捉他们！”跟从的人就活捉了他们，将他们杀在剪羊毛之处的坑边，共四十二人，没有留下一个。

“他们并不诚心哀求我，乃在床上呼号；他们为求五谷新酒聚集，仍然悖逆我。

信一到，他们就把王的七十个儿子杀了，将首级装在筐里，送到在耶斯列的耶户那里。

心利见城破失，就进了王宫的卫所，放火焚烧宫殿，自焚而死。

有管理他一半战车的臣子心利背叛他。当他在得撒家宰亚杂家里喝醉的时候，心利就进去杀了他，篡了他的位。这是犹大王亚撒二十七年的事。心利一坐王位就杀了巴沙的全家，连他的亲属、朋友也没有留下一个男丁。

我在他们中间寻找一人重修墙垣，在我面前为这国站在破口防堵，使我不灭绝这国，却找不着一个。

这一切灾祸临到我们身上是照摩西律法上所写的，我们却没有求耶和华我们神的恩典，使我们回头离开罪孽，明白你的真理。

耶户开满了弓，射中约兰的脊背，箭从心窝穿出，约兰就仆倒在车上。

“我要回到原处，等他们自觉有罪，寻求我面；他们在急难的时候必切切寻求我。”

在犹大王亚撒第三年巴沙杀了他，篡了他的位。

但随从暗利的民胜过随从基纳的儿子提比尼的民。提比尼死了，暗利就作了王。
