There is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered, nothing hidden that won’t be made known.

Your own evil will discipline you; your own apostasies will reprimand you. Recognize how evil and bitter it is for you to abandon the LORD your God and to have no fear of me. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD of Armies.

You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

for my gaze takes in all their ways. They are not concealed from me, and their iniquity is not hidden from my sight.

They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; he will punish their sins.

Your way and your actions have brought this on you. This is your punishment. It is very bitter, because it has reached your heart!

At their feasts they have lyre, harp, tambourine, flute, and wine. They do not perceive the LORD’s actions, and they do not see the work of his hands.

So don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

Terrors come over him.Total darkness is reserved for his treasures. A fire unfanned by human hands will consume him; it will feed on what is left in his tent.The heavens will expose his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him.The possessions in his house will be removed, flowing away on the day of God’s anger.This is the wicked person’s lot from God, the inheritance God ordained for him.

For a man’s ways are before the LORD’s eyes, and he considers all his paths.A wicked man’s iniquities will trap him; he will become tangled in the ropes of his own sin.

If only they were wise, they would comprehend this; they would understand their fate.

“ Understand this, you who forget God, or I will tear you apart, and there will be no one to rescue you.

LORD, they went to you in their distress; they poured out whispered prayers because your discipline fell on them.
