彼所歸誠者、非至上之主、如弦絕弓反、口出妄言、諸牧伯亡於鋒刃、為埃及人姍笑。

彼所歸誠者、非至上之主、彼如已翻之弓、其侯伯殞亡於刃、因其口出狂言、必因此為伊及國之人所姍笑、

They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words. For this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.

I am the Most High God. But they do not turn to me. They are like a bow that does not shoot straight. Their leaders will be killed by swords. They will die because they have spoken too proudly. The people of Egypt will make fun of them.”

They return, but not upward; they are like a treacherous bow; their princes shall fall by the sword because of the insolence of their tongue. This shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

They look everywhere except to the Most High. They are as useless as a crooked bow. Their leaders will be killed by their enemies because of their insolence toward me. Then the people of Egypt will laugh at them.

They return, but not to him that is on high; they are like a deceitful bow; their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

They turn to Baal; they are like an unreliable bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because their prayers to Baal have made me angry. So people will disdain them in the land of Egypt.

反倒退後，行詭詐，像他們的祖宗一樣，他們翻轉，如同鬆弛的弓，

他們必不得住耶和華的地；以法蓮卻要返回埃及，在亞述吃不潔淨的食物。

他們的口褻瀆上天，他們的舌毀謗全地。

主耶和華如此說：「你必喝你姊姊的杯，那杯又深又廣，盛得很多，使你遭受嗤笑譏刺。

看哪，他們要逃避災難；埃及人要收殮他們，摩弗人要埋葬他們。蒺藜盤踞他們貴重的銀器，荊棘必佔據他們的帳棚。

他們說：「我們必能以舌頭取勝，我們的嘴唇是自己的，誰能作我們的主呢？」

雖有這一切的事，她奸詐的妹妹猶大還不一心歸向我，不過是假意歸我。這是耶和華說的。」

「污靈離了人身，走遍無水之地尋找安歇之處，卻找不到。就說：『我要回到我原來的屋裏去。』他到了，看見裏面打掃乾淨，修飾好了，就去另帶了七個比自己更惡的靈來，都進去住在那裏。那人後來的景況比先前更壞了。」

我告訴你們，凡是人所說的閒話，在審判的日子，要句句供出來；

至於我的性命，我好像躺臥在吞噬人的獅子當中；他們的牙齒是槍、箭，他們的舌頭是快刀。

耶路撒冷敗落，猶大傾倒；因為他們的舌頭和行為與耶和華相悖，無視於他榮光的眼目。

他們的心向他不堅定，不忠於他的約。

我的百姓偏要背離我，他們雖向至高者呼求，他卻不抬舉他們。

以法蓮哪，我可以向你怎樣行呢？猶大啊，我可以向你怎樣做呢？因為你們的慈愛如同早晨的雲霧，又如速散的露水。

因為那義人住在他們當中，他正義的心因天天看見和聽見他們不法的事而傷痛；

他們因離棄我，必定有禍；因違背我，必遭毀滅。我雖想要救贖他們，他們卻向我說謊。

他們獻祭物作為給我的供物，卻自食其肉，耶和華並不悅納他們。現在他必記起他們的罪孽，懲罰他們的罪惡；他們必返回埃及。以色列忘記造他的主，建造宮殿，猶大增添許多堅固的城；我卻要降火在他的城鎮，吞滅其堡壘。

他們到了所去的列國，使我的聖名被褻瀆；因為人談論他們說，這是耶和華的子民，卻從耶和華的地出來。

他們說：「來吧！讓我們設計謀害耶利米；因為我們有祭司講律法，有智慧人設謀略，有先知說預言，都未曾斷絕。來吧！讓我們用舌頭攻擊他，不要理他一切的話。」

龍又賜給那隻獸說誇大褻瀆話的口，又賜給牠權柄可以任意行事四十二個月。

那些在磐石上的，就是人聽道，歡喜領受，但沒有根，不過暫時相信，等到碰上試煉就退後了。

同樣，舌頭是小肢體，卻能說大話。看哪，最小的火能點燃最大的樹林。

你這行詭詐的人哪，你的舌頭像快利的剃刀，圖謀毀滅。
