正月十二日，我們從亞哈瓦河邊起行，要往耶路撒冷去。我們神的手保佑我們，救我們脫離仇敵和路上埋伏之人的手。

他們若說：「你與我們同去，我們要埋伏殺人流血，無故地潛藏，殺害無辜；我們好像陰間，把他們活活吞下，囫圇吞下，如吞下那下到地府的人；我們必得各樣寶物，將所奪來的裝滿房屋；你來與我們同夥，共用一個錢囊。」我兒啊，不要與他們走同一道路，禁止你的腳走他們的路徑。因為他們的腳奔跑行惡，他們急速殺人流血。在飛鳥眼前張設網羅，一定會徒勞無功；同樣，他們埋伏，是自流己血，他們潛藏，是自害己命。凡靠暴力歛財的，所行之路都是如此，這種念頭必奪去自己的生命。

耶和華對我說：「在猶大人和耶路撒冷居民中有同謀背叛的事。

過兩天是逾越節，又是除酵節，祭司長和文士在想法子怎樣設計捉拿耶穌，把他殺掉。

其中的領袖是咆哮的獅子，審判官是晚上的野狼，不留一點到早晨。

你們豈可偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，隨從素不認識的別神，又來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，說『我們平安無事』，為了要行這一切可憎的事呢？

你那裏有為流人血而毀謗人的，你那裏有在山上吃祭物的，在你當中也有行淫亂的，
