昔在其庇亞民犯罪戾、今陷惡尤深、主念其罪、必降以罰、

以色列族縱欲行淫、猶大族勿效其尤、勿詣吉甲、勿至伯亞文、否則猶謂崇敬我耶和華可乎。

耶和華之日伊邇、在彼郇邑、為我聖山吹角甚厲、使民震動、

播告猶大及耶路撒冷、人當吹角、召眾和會、群入城垣、

後往拉馬。掃羅歸其庇亞故土。

以法蓮族乎、爾來自亞馬力山、其次則便雅憫族、雜於爾民中、牧伯由馬吉以至、元戎自西布倫而來。

已濟厥河、宿於基巴、拉馬之民無不震慴、掃羅之其庇亞人、靡不遁逃。

又曰、民爽我約、干我律例、爾當吹角告眾、敵王將至、如鷹速飛、攻我耶和華殿。

約書亞自耶利哥、遣人至伯特利東、近伯亞文之埃邑、而告之曰、爾往窺察埃地、爰往窺之、

撒馬利亞人在伯亞文、奉事犢像、彩色剝落、祭司戰慄、庶民殷憂、

以色列族長老咸集、詣拉馬、見撒母耳、

後歸拉馬居焉、在彼為以色列族士師、築壇奉事耶和華。

死妾之夫、利未人對曰、我與妾至便雅憫之其庇亞、止宿於彼、迨夕其庇亞人攻我、環繞於室、群欲殺我、遂辱我妾、致之於死。以色列族中、既有此惡俗穢行、故我剖妾之尸、遣使遍告於以色列族四境。

亞文有崇坵、以色列族陟之、以犯罪愆、故斯邱必荒蕪、荊棘叢生於祭壇、崇事之人、將對山曰壓余、對陵曰掩余。耶和華曰、昔在其庇亞、以色列族犯罪、至於今、若出一轍、余將降災於惡人、其庇亞之民豈能逭罰、

吹角號令郇邑、使人禁食、以守大會、

置一犢於伯特利、一犢於但。

主曰、此邑屬於外人、非屬以色列族者、不可入。至其庇亞可也。又曰、有其庇亞、有拉馬、於二者中、可簡其一而宿。遂往前途、近便雅憫族之其庇亞時、日已入。至其庇亞欲宿、入邑坐於衢、無人晉接於室、而留其宿。

禍自北至、毀傷特甚、爾便雅憫子孫、宜和集、出耶路撒冷、在提哥亞吹角、在伯哈西林舉烽火、
