Judah’s leaders are like those who move boundary stones. I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water.

Judah’s leaders have stolen some land. They have moved their borders farther north. So I will pour out my anger on them like a flood of water.

The princes of Judah have become like those who move the landmark; upon them I will pour out my wrath like water.

釁端之起、如水潰決、宜先弭之、以免爭鬥、

是時亞哈斯王遣使求助於亞述王、因以東人擊猶大、虜其人、非利士人亦侵猶大窪地、及南方之城邑、取伯示麥、亞雅崙、基低羅、梭哥與其鄉里、亭納與其鄉里、瑾瑣與其鄉里、而居於彼、緣以色列王亞哈斯放恣於猶大、干犯耶和華特甚、故耶和華使猶大卑弱、亞述王提革拉毘尼色至、而不相助、反窘迫之、亞哈斯取耶和華室、及王宮牧伯家之物、餽亞述王、仍無裨益、亞哈斯王困苦之際、愈干犯耶和華、

我今速傾我怒於爾、盡洩我忿、循爾行徑鞫爾、報爾所有可惡之事、

雨降潦行、風吹撞屋、遂以傾覆、且傾覆者大也、○

猶之波濤、終日環我、協同困我兮、

亞哈斯遣使見亞述王提革拉毘列色曰、我為汝僕汝子、今亞蘭王與以色列王起而攻我、請來救我脫於其手、亞哈斯以耶和華室與王宮府庫、所有之金銀、餽亞述王、亞述王允其所求、往攻大馬色而取之、虜其居民至吉珥、並殺利汛、

惟聞而不行者、似人建屋土上、而無基、河流衝之則傾、其屋之頹壞大矣、
