然而人都不必爭辯，人也不必指責；祭司啊，我的爭辯是針對着你的。

耶和华说：“谁都不要指控别人，谁都不要责备别人，因为我要指控的是你们祭司。

虽然这样，人人都不必争论，不要彼此指责。你的民像争辩的祭司一样。

耶和華說：「誰都不要指控別人，誰都不要責備別人，因為我要指控的是你們祭司。

雖然這樣，人人都不必爭論，不要彼此指責。你的民像爭辯的祭司一樣。

但人勿相爭、勿相責、蓋爾民如與祭司爭者然、

規諫無人、民逆祭司、

無人審鞫、無人指責、爾民若抗逆祭司者、

“ But let no one bring a charge, let no one accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.

“ But you priests should not blame the people. You should not find fault with one another. After all, your people could also bring charges against you.

Yet let no one contend, and let none accuse, for with you is my contention, O priest.

“ Don’t point your finger at someone else and try to pass the blame! My complaint, you priests, is with you.

But let no one dispute; let no one argue, for my case is against you priests.

Yet let no one find fault, and let no one rebuke; For your people are like those who contend with a priest.

“ Now let no man contend, or rebuke another; For your people are like those who contend with the priest.

Yet let no man strive, neither let any man reprove; for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.

But let no one dispute; let no one argue, for My case is against you priests.

Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people[ are] as they that strive with the priest.

Do not let anyone accuse or contend against anyone else: for my case is against you priests!

“ Yet let no man bring a charge, neither let any man accuse; for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.

若有人擅自行事，不聽從祭司、那站在那裏事奉永恆主你的上帝的、或是不聽從審判官，那人就必須死；你要把那壞事從以色列中肅清。

因此通達人在這種時勢就靜默不言；因為這時勢險惡。

以法蓮和偶像聯姻，任憑他吧！

為甚麼看見你弟兄眼中的木屑，卻不察看你自己眼中的梁木呢？你怎能對你弟兄說：「容我從你眼中去掉木屑」？而你自己眼中卻有梁木呢！假冒為善的人哪，先從你眼中去掉梁木吧，然後你才能看清楚，可以從你弟兄眼中去掉木屑。『不要把聖物給狗，也不要把你們的珍珠丟在豬前頭，恐怕牠們把珍珠踐踏在腳下，轉過來而撕裂你們。

他們就說：『來吧，我們來設計謀害耶利米；因為祭司有禮節規矩，智慧人有謀略，神言人有話語，都不能斷絕掉。來吧，我們用口舌攻擊他，他的甚麼話、我們都別理它。』

死人的親屬、就是為他燒香料的人、把他扶起來；將遺骸搬出房屋外頭時，要問儘內室的人說：『你那裏還有人沒有？』若說：『沒有』；他就說：『別作聲啦！連永恆主耶和華的名也不可提！』

我必使你的舌頭貼住上膛，以致你啞口，不能做責備他們、的人；他們原是叛逆之家呀。
