“ Though you, Israel, commit adultery, do not let Judah become guilty.“ Do not go to Gilgal; do not go up to Beth Aven. And do not swear,‘ As surely as the Lord lives!’

“ Israel, you are not faithful to me. But I do not want Judah to become guilty too.“ My people, do not go to Gilgal to offer sacrifices. Do not go up to Bethel to worship other gods. When you make a promise, do not say,‘ You can be sure that the Lord is alive.’

Though you play the whore, O Israel, let not Judah become guilty. Enter not into Gilgal, nor go up to Beth-aven, and swear not,“ As the Lord lives.”

“ Though you, Israel, are a prostitute, may Judah not be guilty of such things. Do not join the false worship at Gilgal or Beth aven, and do not take oaths there in the Lord’s name.

Israel, if you act promiscuously, don’t let Judah become guilty! Do not go to Gilgal or make a pilgrimage to Beth-aven, and do not swear an oath: As the LORD lives!

斯民在基列、犯罪愆、尚虛妄、在吉甲獻祭牛、在隴畝築祭壇、多若邱壘、

耶和華曰、彼在吉甲、所作不端、為我深憾、因其惡行、牧伯違命、我將驅之於我室、不加眷顧。

耶和華、曰、以色列族爾往伯特利常干罪戾、在吉甲屢蹈愆尤、仍獻日祭、三年一次、十分取一、獻酬恩之祭與酵、樂輸之物、炫示於眾、蓋爾以此為悅。

毋求伯特利毋往吉甲、毋至別是巴、蓋吉甲人必見遷移、伯特利必歸烏有、

撒馬利亞之民、奉事犢像、而犯罪愆、人反指之而誓曰、但之上帝永生、別是巴之上帝永生、故必殞亡、永不振興。

在其庇亞、喇馬當吹角、在伯亞文號呼、當告便雅憫族敵將追襲。

亞文有崇坵、以色列族陟之、以犯罪愆、故斯邱必荒蕪、荊棘叢生於祭壇、崇事之人、將對山曰壓余、對陵曰掩余。

撒馬利亞人在伯亞文、奉事犢像、彩色剝落、祭司戰慄、庶民殷憂、

斯民雖指耶和華而誓、適見其妄。

凡在樓巔、崇拜天象、更奉事耶和華、指耶和華而誓、亦指抹干而誓、悖逆耶和華不祈求我者、必戮之而後已、

親戚取其尸骸、而焚以火、問室中之人、尚有人與爾共處否、若曰否、必曰爾當緘口、勿稱耶和華名、

主耶和華曰、爾曹以色列族、今而後有不從我命者、我聽其崇奉偶像、然不許爾既奉偶像、復獻禮物于我、瀆玩我聖名。

籌思既竟、作二金犢、告民曰、詣耶路撒冷甚難、昔導以色列族出自埃及之上帝即此。置一犢於伯特利、一犢於但。

雅各家以色列族赤子、及猶大支派、崇事萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華、指其名而誓、以之是恃、自稱為聖邑之民、特爾心非由於誠慤、今宜聽耶和華之言。

我民縱欲、棄我上帝、厥心昏昧、問偶像、卜以籤、望其應對、

僕知主意、而不設備、不順其意者、見扑必多、不知而作當刑之事者、見扑必少、凡多與之、必多取之、多托之、必多索之、○

當約西亞王年間、耶和華告耶利米曰、以色列族有若淫婦、爾豈不見乎、彼背我、陟高巒、入茂林、狥欲而行。我見其所為、欲其歸誠、惟彼不從、其與猶大族、親若姊妹、猶大族效尤、屢欺侮予。以色列族既背我、狥欲而行、我棄之、與以離書、其姊妹猶大族、屢欺侮予、毫無畏葸、狥欲而行、我鑒察之、彼狥欲特甚、崇拜木石、污衊斯邦、厥後佯為歸誠、心不誠慤。○

故耶和華怒以色列族、驅於其前、靡有孑遺、所餘者惟猶大族而已。猶大族亦不守其上帝耶和華之誡命、從以色列族所擅立之禮儀。

闇昧之行無益、爾不可與、當責之、

我至聖之主、誠愨是懷、以法蓮、以色列事余、中藏詐偽、猶大族歸我、常有貳心。
