你们的女儿淫乱，你们的新妇行淫，我却不惩罚她们；因为你们自己离群与娼妓同居，与妓女一同献祭。这无知的民必致倾倒。

我不因你们的女儿行淫或你们的媳妇犯奸淫惩罚她们；因为人自己转去与娼妓同居，与神庙娼妓一同献祭。这无知的百姓必致倾倒。

我卻不因你們女兒的行淫而察罰她們，也不因你們兒媳婦之犯姦淫而懲辦她們；因為宗教領袖們自己也離羣而跟淫婦同居，他們自己也同廟妓行淫而獻祭；無知識的人民準會敗倒的。

爾女行姦、爾媳宣淫、我不罰之、緣爾轉就妓女、而偕淫婦獻祭、無知之民、必致傾覆、

彼與淫婦、同獻祭祀、故其妻女、雖不節不貞、亦不降罰、無道之民、終必淪亡、

爾女不貞、爾媳行淫、我亦不懲罰、蓋彼與妓同居、偕娼獻祭、無知之民、終必淪亡、

“ I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin!

“ I will not punish your daughters when they become prostitutes. I will not judge your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery. After all, the men themselves have sex with sinful women. They offer sacrifices where temple prostitutes earn their living. People who can’t understand will be destroyed!

I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with prostitutes and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin.

But why should I punish them for their prostitution and adultery? For your men are doing the same thing, sinning with whores and shrine prostitutes. O foolish people! You refuse to understand, so you will be destroyed.

I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go apart with harlots, and they sacrifice with the prostitutes; and the people that doth not understand shall be overthrown.

I will not punish your daughters when they act promiscuously or your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, for the men themselves go off with prostitutes and make sacrifices with cult prostitutes. People without discernment are doomed.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people[ that] doth not understand shall fall.

Listen to the word of the Lord, you sons of Israel, Because the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land, For there is no faithfulness, nor loyalty, Nor knowledge of God in the land.

Ephraim is allied with idols; Leave him alone.

And he tore down the cubicles of the male cult prostitutes which were in the house of the Lord, where the women were weaving hangings for the Asherah.

There is no one who understands, There is no one who seeks out God;

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, And the righteous will walk in them, But wrongdoers will stumble in them.

For they, too, built for themselves high places, memorial stones, and Asherim on every high hill and under every luxuriant tree.There were also male cult prostitutes in the land. They committed all the same abominations of the nations which the Lord dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

Where will you be stricken again, As you continue in your rebellion? The entire head is sick And the entire heart is faint.

He also removed the male cult prostitutes from the land and removed all the idols which his fathers had made.

Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says,“ The two shall become one flesh.”

Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot listen to My word.

They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see, and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend.No one remembers, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say,“ I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat it. Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, I bow down before a block of wood!”He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has misled him. And he cannot save himself, nor say,“ Is there not a lie in my right hand?”

Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.

being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

Evil people do not understand justice, But those who seek the Lord understand everything.

And the dogs are greedy, they are never satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, Each one to his unjust gain, without exception.

So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother.My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your children.
